So my sister wants a bike...

The HD Sportster is a great bike for a girl.

Is it unethical to walk to a bike dealership and....?

Can't tell if just being dry or ESL... The scam is, in the middle of a negotiation, the seller txts or secretly phones friends of his, asks them to show up and take the car for a drive to make it look like there is interest in the car and make it seem like he doesn't have to budge on price or...

    Too old to ride?

Stop while your grandkids go through early childhood, but you might as well start again by the time they reach 11. It's just 20 years of disappointment after that.

Is it unethical to walk to a bike dealership and....?

My friend, you are a rube. :) Margins on bikes are so slim that most shops break even on higher margin merch like clothes, gear, parts, services and fluids. A good salesman knows you are a tire kicker from a mile off and he will still part you with at least %50 more than you intended to spend...

    New Ford Police Interceptors

There are some limitations, but none that aren't evidence tampering. Google "Eric Rachner" for the story of how he subpoenaed the dash cam devices from cars and pulled "deleted" video from them. Limits, sure, but none I could recommend anyone betting their future on.

    New Ford Police Interceptors

Congrats on the new rides. If the police could use them to pull over one left-lane dog-fxcker who drives in the passing lane for every two speeders, we all just might be able to get along.

Shipping a bike to California. +ROAD TRIP INFO for JULY.

What kind of bike is it and when do you need it there? Tempted to just ride it out there for you. With the gps trackers on phones these days, this could be a viable option for checking in and peace of mind. :)

NAKED HEADLIGHT MOD... how to achieve this idea?!

Interesting mod. If there were a way for it to connect to a cold air intake, it might net out in extra power against the aerodynamic loss. Should deflect LIDAR if done correctly. Have a look at the HTA section 62 s(6) and (7) and decide whether you are taking on any compliance risk.

How and Why Motorcycle Lane Splitting is Safe and Good

Right, so don't lane split because it takes up hospital resources and raises medical insurance premiums that should be used to treat the truly deserving. Specifically, alcoholics, type 2 diabetics, people who neglect chronic conditions, smokers, brawlers, drug users, and the everyone over 80...

Stunting, old school. (and differential steering)

First 2 minutes of this are excellent. The rest is how differential steering works. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYAw79386WI The motorcycle quadrille is pretty impressive as well.

How and Why Motorcycle Lane Splitting is Safe and Good

Using good judgement is the thinker. I respect people who consciously serve others, but some folks just get queer for rules without any concern for reality. Always pick safety and initiative before second guessing whether it's legal. As they say, better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

How and Why Motorcycle Lane Splitting is Safe and Good

    1. Use good judgement. 2. Anticipate enforcement crackdowns at the beginning and end of the season. First nice weekend day means a blitz. 3. Contest every ticket in court.

    Photo Radar Back in TO?!

Absolutely not. If a cop sees something or is called to assist someone who has, he is a citizen who may exercise the discretion to intervene and enforce a law. Building machines to control people's behaviour is just repression. I read Bill Blair's comments on this in the newspaper and this is...

Last kick at can: Triumph Bonneville

Do it. I have not met anyone who has regretted one of the triumph classic bikes yet. I've heard people comment about "retro" styling, but really, it's like wearing jeans: they haven't changed much in 60 years either. If you are older (60's-70's), avoid the Thruxton because the drop bars are for...

No-one needs more than a 600/650 cc bike

Let's just kill this line of discussion right here. The whole argument of "nobody needs x" presumes that the only legitimate reason to own something is that it supports some other socially acceptable (read: boring) requirement. Nobody needs art, sex, music, alcohol, sugar, craftsmanship...

Guelph - Motorcycle noise by-law coming.

Is there an organization that has motorcyclists in Guelph signed up with their postal codes? If you ride a motorcycle, drive stick (e.g know how to drive), play cards, shoot, hunt, keep a dog, own land, smoke, drink, are self employed or own a small business, you are basically a threat to...

    Re: Loud exuasts

Re: Loud exuasts In all, Gryphon has good advice but I couldn't help but notice that last part. If I were to think and drive like a school-mom in a minivan, I would be sleep deprived, half in the bag from mid-afternoon pink bottle chardonnay, imagining myself as some kind of queen-*****...
