    MotoSocial

I went last night on my bug covered SV650, no beard (couldn't grow one to save my life, LOL!) and it was a good time. There were all different types of bikes and riders, from Harley's to dual sports to cafe's to beaters. It seamed to me to just be a good time for all types of riders.

R3 vs Sv650 (and do looks matter?)

The Ninja 650 isn't insured as a SS, when I was buying a few months ago it was between a ninja and an SV650S and they were the same rate. Ended up with the SV and liking it so far, it's my first bike

Anyone Go Through Durham College for Their M1 Exit Course?

for the rain gear I just meant a poncho or something cheap to fit over your jacket, for the course you are out rain or shine, or snow. Being soaked all day won't be fun. You should be able to pick something up for under $20. The helmet will have to be DOT. And yeah, you end up accumulating...

Anyone Go Through Durham College for Their M1 Exit Course?

they prefer people with no riding experience, they have less bad habits to break. They really hammer into you about eye's up, heads up, look where you want to go, use your peripheral vision, the ready position, all the stuff that will become second nature. You'll definitely have better...

Anyone Go Through Durham College for Their M1 Exit Course?

I just did mine last weekend there, bloody cold! The group they have there are great, they keep things light but really know how to get things through to you. By the time you get to the test portion you are more than prepaired.

    Apex brakes

in terms of the inside diameter, motorcycle and car hoses are the same. At my work we make brake lines with Brakequip hose and fittings. As long as the fittings are DOT, he pressure tests them and is insured you'll be ok. The lines we make typically aren't cheaper than OEM, but we can make...

    Small nail in tire

about the only patch I would trust on a bike tire would be a Tech brand or similar that vulcanizes and doesn't use glue. When I was in college for auto mechanics we had the demo by them, their test vehicle had 4 x 1" x 2" holes cut in the side wall and just patched from the inside and had put...

Anyone doing the Motorcycle Rider Training course at Centennial this weekend?

I'm doing it in Whitby this weekend, long johns and as many shirts as you can comfortably fit under your jacket and still move will be needed. As long as the sun stays out it shouldn't be too bad

    Aviva or Allstate?

I've been with Allstate for years now (home and car), I did have to call them this year because my car insurance went up $700 a year. After 10 minutes I had it cheaper than the previous year. I have had to make a few claims the last two years (rear ended getting off the highway and got backed...

    M1 Road Test

from my understanding you can give the paperwork to the ministry any time before the 60 days, but you are under the M1 restrictions for the 60 days either way. I am doing the course in Whitby the first intake in April but my 60 days aren't up till the end of April. I'll be taking my paperwork...

And another new adventure bike -- Royal Enfield

they have extremely high import tariffs to protect their manufacturing making all other bikes and vehicles much more expensive, other manufacturers including Harley either have or are opening plants there to get into the market.

    Hello from Bowmanville

plan on calling around before I buy, try and keep the initial costs down. Looking at a sport bike, really like the SV650 or Honda 599 or now. Would like t get a 70's CB550 or 750 and cafe it as a project later. Don't want to go too small, I'm 6'1" and 270 right now, but going down. Clean...
