ninja 500. cheap as hell to insure/gas/fix. same beginner freindiness as a 250 for day to day but still has power for the highway and then some in the upper range. I can make her lug if I throw her into 6th gear and do 95. 3krpm. no problem there... but I do crave a tad more speed though. not a...
bestbuy in the USA has some electric bikes, with some better/faster streetfighter ones coming soon, for about 10-13k 200k range. but unfortuently no one will insure them here.
seems unfortunete . I'd want one as a second bike for inner city. 200k is a week of commute on a single charge.
this morning, lakeshore going east. you, older on a beater bike, flat mat black, rain gear and side bags. me, blue beater, rain gear, side bags, younger.
glad to see someone else commuting and not hiding from a little rain!
ride it 2km to a parking lot, do there. I have outdoor parking so I always do oil changes outside. no biggie, unless it's raining.
make sure to lube those cables and I hope the tires don't have flat spots. 2 years is a lot of sitting.
it's important to clarify I mean dry roads, not snow roads.
traction is less in rain, less in cold, but nothing crazy. some people will make it sound like in -5 the tires become bricks and won't stick. that's false. the only problems I've had in cold are the engine as it's carbed. it hates cold...
"Don't take it personally".
as I either cut them off or speed away. both of which are even more fun when they're in an 80k+ car and you're on a junk bucket.
the sidi blade and the aplinestars smx-2 both *look like what I'd want, and have the advantage that I could wear them in the office (casual, jeans office). not sure how they hold up though.
the shift look pretty good!
not sure how I would feel about the timberlands in a crash. and it's probable...
So my Icon tarmac are falling apart in little over a year of use. I'm HIGHLY dissapointed. running shoes, fine, but shoes that spend most of their life off the ground? not cool in my books.
this will probably be the first time I've ever contacted a company to complain like an old lady but the...
being a rider is how you feel inside. you know whether you ride because of the thrill you feel, or because you love the look of you and your bike in photos/ parking lots.
where some of the comments stem from, in my case anyways, is not whether someone rides in the rain or snow, its when they...
500= dead simple. if you screw it up, she still runs. == win.
expect cable lube as well for 10-15
various cleaners depending on how much you care, soap and water can also be fine though.
oil filters online for $11, spark plugs x2 for $3/each
ex500 will take crap oil and be happy, so 3.5 litres...
I'm actually surprissed no one makes a handlebar mounted frs for bikers. It seems to me like it would be useful. Not as good as a dedicated headset, but for 4+ group rides and each unit at $30...
