I agree with the above response, check and clean the spark plugs. When last was the bike serviced, oil & filter change?

You where hit from behind, not good at all, hope you weren't badly injured. I don't think it matters who hit you, rather than the person didn't see you or couldn't stop in time or was distracted on cell. etc.

I'm one of the guys from ADV that does all sorts of crazy things to my bikes - still no need to install 2 batteries. Battery is in-doors over the winter and I ride pretty much all the time when the battery is back in on the bike. Solution to your problem - ride more often!

Yes, this is going to be interesting see the arguments for and against wearing gear all the time!

Good for you, having the right gear also helps riding in cold weather.
