In case you were wondering about those big scoots.....

It's a shame, really. They improved on virtually every shortcoming the Silverwing had. It (the Integra) has the makings of a real class leader. No idea why Honda won't release it in this market.

So much fail in a single image

The builder is an absolute genius. He found a way to make a bike uglier than a Diavel, something I would have thought impossible.

In case you were wondering about those big scoots.....

Last I heard the Integra was not going to be available to us Canucks. Has this changed?

    ice fishing with bike

Unless you are familiar, and I mean intimately familiar with the area in question you should think again before trying this. Every body of water has it's own peculiarities and unless you know them you are risking your life by venturing onto it. This has been an atypical year for ice formation...

Wierd problem with 5th gen VFR

Early fuel injected Blackbirds were prone to a harness plug corrosion issue that would cause things similar to this. Does anyone know if the VFR had any similar issues?

What did everyone buy at the show this weekend?

Those folks had great prices. We arrived at opening yesterday, made that booth our first stop and at 10:04 there were six people waiting for fitting. All three of us went for the headphones - Sennheiser CX-300 with custom fitting for $150, can't beat it as the headphones are over $100 by...

    Blown Fuse

I've been running HIDs on my XX for three years with no problem. I felt the stock wiring was way too light so I ran a #12 wire fused at 10 amps (and matching ground) up from the battery to a pair of relays triggered by the original headlamp wiring.

    Largish Generators

You can go the simple, quick, SAFE route and have a meter hub inlet installed. It'll cost you about a G-note, takes about ten minutes to install (you'll need the utility to temporarily disconnect the power and pull the meter for you) and the generator just plugs directly into it. It is foolproof...

    Doubting my mechanic...

I'm going to respectfully disagree with you here, bitzz. On most modern Honda scoots at least, the alternator is a permanent magnet rotor, wound stator affair that is constantly producing power. This power is sent to the battery until said battery reaches the zener's rated voltage, at which...

What type of tools do you use?

Agreed. I quit buying them and switched to Greenlee a while ago. So far so good.

    Electricians in the house?

That got covered a page back with the 3/0 copper (good for 210a) requiring a #3 ground.

    Electricians in the house?

Obscene, more like. How much bigger are the xformers? I'm likely to be resizing a 45kva in the near future, but room is a bit of an issue.

    Electricians in the house?

Yep, I'm with ya. Forgot that 3/0 copper was good for a little more than 200a. Price of cu means we don't use it for feeders very often. My bad.

    Electricians in the house?

Why are you using #3 ground? Two hundred amp service requires #6 now. Why only 3/0 feeders? Are you using copper? I think you'll find 4/0 aluminum is cheaper. Is your welder outside? Why teck?

do ducati SS riders get more attention than other SS riders?

Yep, particularly from the popo. :) Why are so many hating on Duc's? A Duc SS is a wonderful machine: sweet sound, low end grunt, fantastic cornering. My friend tours with me on a 900SS and the only mod he's done is risers. No reliability issues at all.

Metz Z8 vs. BT-016s vs. PR2 vs. Shinko Raven 009

Hmm. I'm running a Z8 rear and an M5 front on the Blackbird and I'm quite happy with the tires' traction and behaviour. Dry roads or wet, they always feel planted and stick very well in corners. I don't know how you guys are pulling those numbers though - I have cooked a rear off in as few as...
