Love to see you Macs! We're going to be mostly in the countryside, so noise shouldnt be much of an issue. There is a slight amount of urban riding though.
Hey everyone....lets meet at the Fifth Wheel Truck Stop in Bowmanville at 6:30 pm on Tues. I'll be on the silver Kawasaki Concours 14... wearing a Hi Viz yellow jacket. PM me with your cell phone numbers so we can text if you are going to be delayed.
Sounds good to me! Revised route (good for M1 riders) could look like this... http://goo.gl/maps/mXO9c Otherwise, we could take the 401E to Mill St Newcastle and carry on from there.
Looks like Tuesday evening is firming up. The ride could be shortened a bit if we need a later start time for out of town riders to arrive (6:30 pm start?). If we meet at the 5th Wheel in Bowmanville, the ride could be shortened thus.... http://goo.gl/maps/GO6Ea (according to Google Maps...

Other than that, someone at GP Bikes may know of someone.
You'd probably be better off with the Corbin seat rather than getting...

If you get the opportunity, the north section from Port Hope - Millbrook is very entertaining and scenic. I like to do this route starting in Millbrook and travelling south - riding toward the lake is much more scenic than riding away from it.
Take your GPS and go exploring. You can never get lost. Other than that, here are a couple of suggestions -
Lakeridge road going to Keswick and back - sweeping corners and good vistas.
Reach Street between Port Perry and Uxbridge.
Sideline 4 from Myrtle Road to Uxbridge has some great...

I'm not a super-aggressive rider (usually have small chicken strips on my tires) but I have ridden on both tires in mountain twisties. I don't really care about the ultimate grip that a tire can give as I rarely push my bike to those limits - my main concern is to have decent grip in the...
I have HJC CL15 helmet (size small) that has been worn twice...and will sell it for a good price if you are interested. Other than that, both GP and Royal have some helmets on sale for some excellent prices at the moment. I was in Royal a couple of days ago and they had full face helmets for...

Today, while driving my cage E. on the 401 express lanes near Yonge, I had the misfortune of witnessing a couple of idiots on sport bikes lane splitting on the 401. The traffic was moving between 110 and 120, and these guys were travelling well in excess of that - weaving in and out of lanes...
Hi Sid!
Great thread you started! You have been given some great advice, and I am sure that you (and a lot of other new riders) will benefit from it. I'd like to add a couple of things that I have learned during my 37 years of street riding. I have never been on the track, but have spent...
