Tire Opinion ~ Looking for a good street tires that will do 1 or 2 track days a year

On the positive side, for a hypersport tyre, the first S20 rear went a little over 6,000Km before changing.

Tire Opinion ~ Looking for a good street tires that will do 1 or 2 track days a year

PP 2CT's had a funny profile I found. Turn-in wasn't great. As for the S20's - Was probably 2h into a ride down in the smokies. Mid 20° temps. Tires should have been plenty warm. Front tire pushed on several occasions off of the brakes. Suspension is well sorted, Racetech valves & proper...

Tire Opinion ~ Looking for a good street tires that will do 1 or 2 track days a year

32/35 cold. They are the first Bridgestones I've run, and will be the last. The oem S20's have a letter suffix in the size/model. Could be different compound and carcas than non OEM S20's, could be same. Never tracked them.

Tire Opinion ~ Looking for a good street tires that will do 1 or 2 track days a year

While sipes will aid with standing water/hydroplaning, it's the silica content in the rubber that gives the wet weather traction. In that test, they are running the Pirelli SuperCorsa SP tires, these are the Street/Track Supercorsa's with dual compound rear tire. The SC designation SuperCorsa...

Tire Opinion ~ Looking for a good street tires that will do 1 or 2 track days a year

For street with occasional track, I've run: PP 2CT's Pirelli Corsa's (older, single compound tire) Pirelli Corsa 3's (older dual compound tire) Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa's (current dual compound tire) Pirelli Supercorsa SC (track only, non street) -1 for S20's. I run these on the street...

2005 R6 sprockets sizes for SMP, Mosport & Bogie?

I've got a 15/49 setup. Only time it sucks is T4 at Bogie. My shift point comes in the corner and I don't like sticking my foot under the pedal to shift while leaned to the left.... let alone shifting mid corner. I then either short shift coming into T4, or maintain throttle and shift as bike...

    Calabogie CSBK

Yes appears they went full Calabogie with some Mosport big track. I did like how the prices did not increase for Calabogie. It's getting $$$ to play there.

    Calabogie CSBK

I noticed that on Pro6 sched. While 'Bogie is a fantastic track to ride on, wasn't the consensus of the internetz that it wasn't ideal for racing? (assuming due to run-off?!) Regardless, may make for a nice ride out to check out the action. Not sure where from as there's not many spectator...

    Adding some features

I am happy with my Ferodo Race pads. Very consistent feel where as I found EBC HH's sometimes a little inconsistent. If you plan on doing exhaust & PowerCommander, their DynoJet QS is plug and play as already mentioned. PK also makes a cheaper QS that is plug and play with the Power Commander...

    hand guards from ebay

I put a set of handguards on and do notice an improvement. Not substantial, however on cold mornings at highway speeds, it does cut down on the wind chill. When using the heated gloves in conjunction, my paws are nice and comfortable. These are Zeta brand guards. Also good for bashing your...

recommended base layer for colder rides?

Been snowboarding for 20 years. By far Merino wool base layer is the best thing I've tried. A good quality one (Ice Breaker) will last and is a worthwile investment. Can be used for cold weather camping, motorbiking, snowmobiling, whatever. Any good outdoors store will sell the Ice Breaker...

Disrepectful Trackday Riders- Don't Bother Coming Anymore!

Not sure how google giving some info is affecting his livelyhood. We're not here looking for flight rentals. This is the new-age public stoning, eh. I hope the target of this thread will understand that putting other riders safety at risk (and their own) is not a joke.

Disrepectful Trackday Riders- Don't Bother Coming Anymore!

Shaman what's asinine is knowing the rules of these events and not abiding by them. The coolant issue is a strict safety issue. It's not new... and it's such a quick and easy maintenance item. I'm putting around at track days as a fun hobby. Last thing I or anyone else wants is to bin it due...

Disrepectful Trackday Riders- Don't Bother Coming Anymore!

Proceeded to dump the anti-freeze on the ground? What a d-bag. omnivore - you guys were far too nice to allow them the privilege to ride. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice.... Please black list them from future events. They do not deserve to participate at events that value safety...
