Quit our jobs, sold our home and everything in it, gone riding...

Wow, what a great trip and the things you've seen, done people met. Just the total experience and adventure of it all. I ask myself a lot of questions, like what they did for employment before the trip (clearly well educated, solid and well above average incomes), where the ideas come from...

Is asking a widow on a date at her husband's funeral OK?

@Buckwild - they aren't far apart at all. But some people know of one, but not the other.

Is asking a widow on a date at her husband's funeral OK?

That's not in bad form at all. That's business and smart business at that. Non-business twist - We're talking about a small motorcycle community, and Pro6 is the closest "competitor" (if you want to call pro6 and parker competition). As such, Pro6 and Parker likely had an informal reciprocal...

    Criminal trial procedure question

And further to that Rob, often times a guilty plea involves a statement by the accused of how the crime was commited, and if it does not match the facts of the case, judges have been known to not allow the plea. Also, entering a plea of guilt because of a lack of financial standing to properly...

    49 over code R advice

Having intimate knowledge, police are not permitted to reduce +50 Street racing charges. As for arbitrarily handing out street racing tickets - I suggest you get educated on the Sgt. Dennis Mahoney-Bruer case. Where there is one, then are at least 10 more. And no, only 1 vehicle is required...

    criminal lawyer fees

The pricing is per hour, and they usually have a schedule of fees for their students and clerks etc for letter writing and researching. Actual lawyer costs are about $250-$300 with $300 more common for a general criminal lawyer, and a registered specialist can and do charge $300-$500 per hour...

Can my previous employer contact my current employer and say bad things about me?

All good advice so far in this thread. The worst that can happen is your old boss says bad things that are not true about you to your new boss and you lose your job. If that happens, then you can take your old boss to court if you can afford a lawyer while you have no job. So be careful what...

Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

Re: Can you be arrested for being a person of interest? Spider its so obvvious you are hateful and biassed towards harper etc etc. Delete your post. Yes, toronto police and others at G20 were crooked as ****. But it doesnt go to the gvnmnt it goes to the the cheifs of police who call the shots.

Crap lawyers in a torte case...

Your lawyers did their job, pay them. If there is a time restriction of when you wanted to receive money, or a performacne incentive, you should have added that to the lawyers agreement. Pay your lawyers - word gets around when people dont pay their lawyer especially if its from a settlement...

    49 over code R advice

@Macs Yeah, I do, and I am not wrong either. OP indicated cop "says" he clocked him at 65 over. Guess what charge and penalty that carries with it/ No cop would reduce a 65 over ticket. And if they do, there is something wrong with the evidence.

    49 over code R advice

Hire someone. The consequences of failing on your own is that of facing the 65 over ticket. Moreso, there is something fishy if a copy reduces what is a street racing charge and vehicle and license suspension, which from my understanding they are required to enforce, and they cannot reduce an...

    Replacing VFR800 with Naked Bike?

The new street tripple from Triumph is sexy as hell. Love it. that swingarm is just so nice.

Can you be arrested for being a person of interest?

Sorry guys, what I guess I was meaning to say is: There is a far cry difference between what is lawful, what police actually do, and what you as an ordinary citizen can do (afford financially) to enforce their rights.

Can you be arrested for being a person of interest?

well... thats not wholey correct Lanny... Police can arrest and detain a suspect at any time. A Person of Interest, and a suspect is only a matter of wording. Both can be arrested at any time. Its verbage, wording, only. More-so, what is legal, and what is done are two different things...

    Fox shock rebuild

Pro6, Z1 and Riders Choice all do shock cleanup in house. I personally sent my stuff to Accelerated Technologies (John Sherrard) during the winter season and wait a while for it to come back when he gets it done. Cost can vary for shocks, expect around$100 to $200 plus parts (oil, seals etc if...

    Testing track bikes at home

Seating seals and brake pads doesnt take 20 kms of riding. I make a few passes up and down my street, no issues. Suspension takes mileage, so that's done at the track. Engine Management is on the Dyno where it can be measured accurately. If you are looking for a legal way to test it, you...

    Canadian Motor Speedway

Not to mention that since Mosport is focusing more and more on cars, that brand new tarmac is going to get rippled so badly from high hp cars that without upkeep in 2 years time it will be unridable for bikes. Pity about CMS - the home owners have only their neighbors and their city/town...

    Csbk 2013

The reason I stopped racing was for several reasons: 1) Expensive as hell. I could afford it, but I eventually ruled it not worthy of the costs involved, because of 2) and 3). With the recession, I, like many others, had job changes and could not afford racing anymore. 2) No track time - I...

    Csbk 2013

I think if a better model is given to the racers, even the top 10 pro's, then they will move. There isn't really any prestige (or money) in winning a CSBK championship anymore - especially when a pro grid is so small (pro 600 was as low as less than 10 bikes). And I agree.. the management and...
