Options for home internet when you are out of the service area of the big guys

Yes, I've been told by the big providers that they will be servicing the area "soon", as meme has stated he's been waiting 14 yrs. As far as the urban sprawl reaching the area, you can pretty much see it from the end of the driveway, it's about 2 km away, just not close enough apparently. B...

Options for home internet when you are out of the service area of the big guys

I'm moving just outside of Markham where none of the usual suspects provide internet service. Anyone here have experience with alternate providers? Xplorenet I believe is an option, anyone used them or any other provider in "rural" areas?

How about Oka from La Belle Provence? One of the many delicious cheese varieties from our neighbour to the east. If anyone is considering a cheese run, it should include Quebec. There are many local fromageries with different laws and regulations allowing raw milk cheeses. Here is a page...

Anyone interested in a James Bay Road trip?

Hey Jeff, have they finished repaving the JBR yet? Looked like a lot of gravel on your trip. Did this trip 5 years ago, heading back up in June with 4 or 5 others. Was hoping for a less frost heaved trip.

Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

Agree completely with your opinion of their pricing practices, and not trying to defend them in any way, but it's tough to sell anything when they shut the doors for 3-4 months every year.

Ontario Insurance Reform - Can we be loud unough to hear?

The rates are set to one persons risk factor. i.e. age, marital status, where you reside, your driving history etc. The problem I have is rates creeping up EVERY year even though your personal risk factor has not changed.

It is hands free so you can concentrate on topping up the fluid instead of activating the brake lever/pedal or...
