You could always get those valve stem caps that indicate when the pressure is below a certain psi. I like the idea of TPMS letting you know you have a psi problem while riding. But in all other scenarios, I feel it's worthwhile to be vigilant with tire maintenance on a two wheeled machine.

I get watery eyes too. I just put up with it but it sucks, especially on the track. Maybe try a pair of riding sunglasses that have the foam cushion around the lens in conjunction with a chin curtain.

Current flows from positive terminal to negative terminal in a battery. It's odd that it would behave normally with battery out of bike vs hooked up to bike. Are you certain it's not a function of the charger that perhaps just looks like it's shutting off?

Any chance the polarity is reversed? It probably has auto shut off in that scenario. If not I would test it on a different battery and if you get the same result then the tender is probably faulty.

I'm aware EMV will not work at launch. Magstripe, NFC, barcode/QR will still be available and that covers the majority of cards taking up space in my wallet. If they can get EMV ironed out that would be fantastic. If not, no big deal. I still plan to carry a wallet so having, say, 2 or 3 cards...

Yea can't really go wrong on the street short of buying DOTs or slicks or something. I've been pretty happy with every street tire I've tried. The Metzeler M5 lasted the longest but I rode that down to the cord. My favourite is the Q3 which I use street and track. Probably doesn't last as long...
