Someone should be keeping a running tally on how many Volts were purchased after this thread was created. I count 3 so far. Or is it 4?

Thanks for sharing Polak. We forget to listen to our bodies sometime. If you don't feel right, costs you nothing to get checked out.

Those are called toast notifications. They pop up at the top and you can reply quickly without leaving your existing app.
The next evolution to your mass texting game would be to use a data based program like GroupMe or WhatsApp, for broadcast messages. With GroupMe, if they don't have that...
Signal or WhatsApp are data based messaging apps that are good too. They use very little data and have easy to use broadcast features.

There's no easy/simple solution that I'm aware. Photosynch gets mentioned a lot, also some synology nas apps but nothing I've found really.
I do periodic downloads from google photos to my local Nas, but it's not automated.

So long as it's at least a class 10, sure. You want good read and write speeds to keep up with the camera and video features on the new phone.

Not really. The mobile switch makes it a bit faster. Otherwise you're just waiting for the phone to do all the downloads and updates.

The LG G4 has a built in app called Mobile Switch. It will transition all of your settings and such from your old android device. If you want to start fresh, just sign in to the new phone and Google play store will do the rest.
