Choke collars are crap- training collar will stop a pulling dog on a leash in 2 minutes or less. Leave it on the dog with an 18 " leash in the house-easy to give corrections to the dog with a qik tug of the leash. the pinch mimics the mother dog nipping the neck of a puppy, helps to discern the...
Last I heard was Jevco doing that. I lust after a 92 CBR900 Fireblade, so I looked into it. And it wasn't a 15 yr old disclaimer...it was bikes model year 1996 and older were simply considered "standard motorcycles" and the "supersport" designantion was removed...... They never updated it to...
I am coming out for vintage with ya this season
Amusing to see the interview with AMA rider Jamie James halfway thru that video- he says that there was way more factory involvement here in Canada thant he USA, and the fans were excited and eduated about the sport, and the fans loved it.
Those...
I had a new 89 CBR600 back then....these guys were my idols. We used to ride to the tracks and camp out just to watch this stuff. Foreigners used to even come to race here. Imagine that!
I still wanna race these bikes.
I raced my first two seasons on my last R6, stock except for pipe and jets, and a steering damper. Stock tired suspension, OEM Yamaha brake pads and all. And still did pretty well. The bike was never the weak link in my program,LOL
Or bring an R6 to the R6 cup (Lost Era,LOL), and everyone else in the pits have tons of spares to pass around too,LOL.
Once I killed a wheel bearing when I forgot a rear wheel spacer, and Kipping lent me a new bearing, spacer and axle for the weekend till I could get new ones.....My own...
In 3 seasons, I haven't seen one Lost Era bike grenade a motor , eat a trans or suffer any major malfunctions preventing them from gridding up (crashed not included of course), except one weekend when Kellen's bike had charging issues (if i recall correctly). I think he only missed a qualifier...
Sunny is right....there is little new blood.
The average guy doing what I do is mid 50's.
There are very few younger than me.
I have had two long term apprentices...one for 10 yrs, and one for 7.
The first finally went on his own, does ok financially I guess, but word is getting around our...
This is how I live my life.
I work. Hard. Alot. And often I don't like what I am doing. My work has nothing to do with those lifelong interests each of us have. I never would have become a labour trade if I were to choose solely based on what I want to do. It did however, allow me to step right...
My cousin has hit the nail on the head:

I bought on Black Friday some windshield washer fluid........10 jugs of Rain-X -40C stuff for 50cents each, LOL
Bandits have been water cooled since 2007.
The water cooling isn't cheaper. It's neccessary to get the consumer's desired performance output while still passing noise and emissions requirements. All motorcycles will soon go this route. Even purists HArley Davidson and BMW's boxers have had to...
If you decide you wanna invest alot less, have just as much fun, hit me up.
I have a couple interested parties in my very well setup 2002 R6 racing package.....but no cash in my hand yet.
SOAR's Rookie championship was won by a new racer (NWEMAN) on a Lost Era bike this year. You'd be surprised...
For sure. The new Yamahas are coming in at $7K and $9K for what are better bikes, and include more for your $ (except the Honda's ABS)......but there is no way the Honda is legitimately worth almost double the price of an FZ07......They ARE indeed banking on hipsters buying retro just to ride retro.
The CB1100 is an awesome bike...Gorgeous, perfect in every way, but it's a $9-10K bike, that's MSRP is at $13+K.
That's why it hasn't sold well. Too bad really because it's awesome.
