    Cyclist killed while 'splitting'

Splitting and filtering can be very safe...however splitting at 30km/hr with stopped traffic is not. And being a cyclist, they were probably on the curb side which is why he had to avoid a turning vehicle which would have had the right of way. Hopefully this causes a bit of a crack down on...

    Traffic!!!!

I commute from Barrie to Toronto every day leaving my house at 5:30 and even within the past year or two I have noticed a big jump in the amount of traffic there is when leaving at that time. Coming home I have to either leave around 4 or just wait till 6 and even then it's still pretty heavy...

Three-year-old girl injured after impaired e-bike crash in Thorold - douchebagg

The problem is that there is no policing or education for the crap that e-bikes (and even regular cyclists) pull. They only care to do something when an accident or call comes in. I can guarantee that 95% don't know the laws or rules regarding e-bikes or bikes.

    Bike keyed!!!

Same, I just looked at the pic and expected it to be along the entire tank which is what I would imagine if someone were out to do some damage.

    New gear? Recommendations?

I second this. Start with some nice general summer use gear since we are starting to heat up...I hope. And from there you will start to get an idea of what you need and want. The last thing you want to go is spend $$$ on stuff that you never end up using or don't like using.

    New gear? Recommendations?

The type of riding like MacDoc asked is pretty cirtical. For instance if I'm booting around town my go to is leather or textile jacket, kevlar jeans, low cut boots, light gloves. If I'm commuting to work or on an extended journey I have a textile suit that is water proof and some water proof...

    Lonely Ninja

I just put a screw type master link on my chain at the beginning of this year after removing it last year for a tear down. So far with about 3,000km with mixed riding (2-3hrs hwy, aggressive back roads, city rush, etc) and so far so good. Much easier than a rivet, safer than a clip, and seems...

The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

Not really illegal as far as I am aware. I'm pretty sure this has come up for discussion before but if the lane is wide enough to still fit with the parked cars then it is okay to do so...not saying safe, just legal.

What motorcycle could you see yourself on next?

Ideally something less than 20yrs old and fuel injected. Currently eyeing the GSX-S750 or S1000/F for next year if the minister of finance allows (read-wife gets a bike first).

    Not 'that' HOV question

Riding an air/oil cooled bike I was very tempted to ride the shoulder or split yesterday when it started overheating but didn't specifically because of points a) & b)

The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

I don't think you quite understand...this is the exact same as trying to merge onto a highway at 20km/h while everyone around is doing 100km/h, just reversed. But that isn't bad behavior, just reality of chaotic traffic right?

The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

Actually, when I'm on the highway I usually leave some space for others to merge in order to keep things flowing. You must not know the area, since that is right ahead of the bull nose and the cars have had plenty of time to merge before hand but want to beat a couple cars and usually end up at...

The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

This **** drives me nuts. I take the 404/DVP south every morning and there are always countless idiots that stop in that lane to jump in at the last second. I don't know what bugs me more, the amount of people that do it or the fact that they all see no problem with stopping in a free flowing lane.

Good car shop to diagnose god-awful brake noise

I take all my vehicles to Melo Automotive at Dundas and Runneymede. The owner, Chris, is a good friend of mine who's a very knowledgeable (along with the other techs) and won't BS you. Rates are reasonable, everyone is down to earth, and they also work on bikes so there is generally some eye...

Please help...1992 ZX7 temp gauge quit reading

Are you allowing it time to get to temp where it needs the fans and the gauge would start moving? From what your saying, everything should be fine. It's possible the sensor called it quits but unlikely if everything was fine prior to the exhaust work.

Anyone have a 100% waterproof back pack?

I have not carried my laptop in it but it will fit no problem. The other day I had an extra pair of gloves, riding pants liner, jacket liner, some lunch tupperware, and still had a bit of room left. Pretty damn comfortable on my back even when full. The only downside is no waist strap so it...

Anyone have a 100% waterproof back pack?

I have a Firstgear drybag backpack that has held up so far this year with the little bit of rain it has seen. It's a roll top drybag so there are not really any compartments aside from the main one to stuff everything into (two small ones useless for anything and a mesh one)...
