I've settled on a jacket finally after going to GP twice, and around 4 other stores. Tried various jackets and Jaws seems to fit me great, and when I finally was glad it's over GP and Riders Choice both tell me it's discontinued, while A* has it on their website and sites in US still stock it...

Any location in West end of GTA carries Alpinestar gloves, interested in Celer. Went to GP few days ago and must've had a brain fart cuz I forgot to look at gloves :)

I'm starting to catch a moto bug and I'm thinking of buying bike this year instead of next spring. One of the things pushing me for buying now is that I'm interested in 2014 Ninja 300 ABS in Black, 2015 never released in black, so maybe I can still find few new ones in black from 2014...

Let's not focus so much on me riding in a rain :) I meant that I will try to ride in nice weather only, won't have to commute anywhere even in bad weather, will stay home if there's a chance of rain. Of course I can be caught by surprise by the weather, just saying that I don't need a jacket...

Went to GP and Royal today, had to grab 407 to not spend 2-3hours on 401 :D GP is awsome, every helmet imaginable, awsome people to help out, couldn't resist and grabbed myself Alpinestars Faster shoes. Also picked the helmet that suited me best HJC RPHA ST, Tried others with drop down Visors...

Maybe I worded my post wrong, I'm looking at trying stuff on right now, while it's peak season and shops should stock more. Then buy one fall/winter comes and stuff goes on sale. I run into this problem with my Mountainbiking, shops carry very little while it's off season, even end of summer is...

Hehe, well that's nice to hear, hopefully they'll have Alpine Jaws in there, as it always jumps in my eye whenever I browse for jackets.

Went to few stores today, Will try GP and Royal on a day off. Burlington Cycle - few HJC helmets, none of the higher end ones, no Leather jackets, almost nothing to look at Bartz Moto - Very basic, Icon Airmada and Alliance to try on, that's pretty much it. Brampton Powersports - Good...

Rode when I was 15, had two bikes and always wanted to get back to it, just never the right moment. Finally at 32 we bought our first house, we are settling in and I can store a bike in garage.

Updated my post, Located in Milton, can drive as far as Guelph/Niagara/Oshawa. As far as used gear I'll pass, I'm not the kind of person that would buy used clothing. I know I could find something great for awsome price on kijiji, but I always prefer buying new.

Could you point me to stores that have good selection of Jackets and Helmets to try on. I gave myself $1000 budget, so would like to try on few styles as I never ridden before. Trying to get gear and m2 this season and then getting Ninja 300 next spring. I'm guessing gear first, then bike...
