Congrats on the new bike. As some have said, if you have the room...just keep it. You don't really have to insure it unless you plan to ride it. Personally, I would have loved to have kept every one of many previous bikes.

first and foremost, congrats on the bike. Personally, any used bike I buy gets a complete check. so all fluids are flushed and parts inspected. You never know how long a bike has been going without fresh coolant/oil/brake fluid. Inspect the drive chain? clean/dirty? loose? what about the tires...

Back to the topic at hand, dragging current models for years and pulling out of the auto market in Canada. Me thinks Suzuki is in financial trouble or restructuring to meet the demands in different markets. Lets face it, SS bikes are not the money makers.

Got myself a subscription to Cycle Canada...Thirty Bucks, included was a T-shirt and some other little goodies. I always enjoy mucking about and seeing old friends. I'll will have to admit, I miss the good 'ol days when the show had everything...manufacturers and the aftermarket dealers.

Several fishy things going on here....but from the top -windshield on bike changes -front fender missing in pic two -front flush mounts are also changed in pic two -banana seat in pic 3 -sliders in pic 3 not the same as pic one and none in pic two -black frame on 05? -passenger seat...

Oh dude, forget a mechanic....why not try it yourself? Order a service manual and some clutch plates/gaskets and have at it. Great way to learn about your bike and save a little loot. If not your cup of tea then Riders Choice is in Mississauga.

Before you pay for a shop to repair the damages, call a Kawi dealer and get a price on a new fairing piece. Prep and paint take time and can be costly. It maybe just better to replace the part completely.
