if were Mikey I'd have the lawyer write up a letter to the OP for possible slander.
$4-$4.5k is your price for you to get it fixed. His time isn't free.
His price... time, and maybe $1k tops for replacement parts. resell for profit.
btw thanks for bringing thread up. I'll be...
you must be angry with your family and your taking on it on someone on the forum.
Besides dropping a bike isn't the end of for selling a bike. My vfr most defiantly has been dropped(not by me),but there isn't any issues other than a little rash. If there was any other damage ie. handle, etc...
If you want a bigger 1L bike and your experience is a no no.
What you want is something with a better riding position. What about a Honda CTX 500 and above? How about a 90-97 VFR750 (cheap insurance ish), or 98-09 VFR800. The VFR is classifed as a sport touring meaning it's a bit more...
I always liked this video

Last group ride I went on last year well as soon as we left the city limits the minimum speed just to keep up was a lot more than 180km/hr... I bailed at 180km/hr as I need my DL for my job.
^^
Location plays a key factor. Plus the living costs in general in Narnia is a lot cheaper than Toronto/GTA. Remember in Toronto most people don't have a project due to increased living cost, and 2+ hr a day commute is common. Image making $50k+ a year and living in a house that cost...
My buddy in Sarnia has a rental unit. Stand alone garage 1.5 bays ish rents for $200/m. Hydro included. Pretty much the garage paid for itself after a few years he built it. Never empty as there's a bit of a waiting list.
How many GTA peeps head out to the smaller communities like Bancroft to take a G test? Well enough to warrant someone going into business for shuttles runs to these communities. Besides look at Brampton....

I could import a bike. I've done a few from the UK. However I'm tired of tire kickers and time wasters. I won't even bother unless I get a serious dep.
I don't live within the GTA. If I did the price just to insure my old VFR I'd hang up my helmet. 3x or 4x the price from Kingston to Markham. no thanks.
Plus if I did get a HD. It'd be something like a 1955 chopper.
Quite honselty if I lived in the GTA my quality of life would go down by...
Prank or not. I just see this as being rude, and very disrespectful in general. If I did this on camera and my boss saw this (military btw). I'd be so far up the poo creek, and probably sent to the detention barracks in Edmonton for a few weeks. Btw there's no cable tv or umm free time to...
these bikes aren't really daily driver bikes. be prepare to wrench and wait 2+ weeks for parts from Japan. Honda Canada might be able to parts if you have a part #, but expect at least 3-6 weeks back order.
