I hear you. I do pretty much the same. My point was that there are in fact laws in place concerning transport/storage of ammo where a charge can be laid by cop with a chip on his/her shoulder and much grief to be had.

Just to clarify: you can't get as 12.6 condition added to your permit. You had to have owned a 12.6 handgun before the prohibition went into effect to be grandfathered it. Apologies if your knew that.
