Drive Right. (GTFO of the left lane.)

A lot of drivers don't use their rear view mirror to see if there are a bunch up behind them and get out of the way. I haven't seen police enforcing the rule of using the left as a passing lane. It's annoying but not harmful, just wait it out or go around.

    M2 exit course question

No, You need your own bike, you can rent or purchase one. I recommend you to get something cheap like a 250, ride it and enjoy it for the season, do the M2 exit at the end of the season and sell it around Sept/Oct :)

    Looking for input/advice

I recommend the GSXR as well. I own a 08' R6s, good riding position, not as agressive as the R6 but as for overall comfort, GSXR still got it.

What to keep on yourself when riding and where to store it?

I also carry a small piece of board 10cmX10cm for the kickstand for those hot summer days, so your bike stand won't sink into the gravel. it should fit into the storage compartment. Remember it doesn't have to be a thick piece, a larger surface area is what you need. cheers

Frame sliders for a Ninja 250R

not sure where they would sell those, maybe online is your best bet, they look like stunt guards. I would recommend using the regular frame sliders for your 250 since they will be cheaper (ebay) and probably offer similar protection. I don't think you'll be dropping the 250 all the time.

    Recommended camera for recording?

I have the contourHD, it's light weight and quite easy to attach and adjust. But the video quality isn't as good as the go pro, the hero3 got really good reviews, I vote for that.
