IF MC insurance was $400/yr, would you own more than one bike?

I'd own a second bike even at current rates, I just don't have space!

    St Paddys day in Waterloo

My son goes to Laurier, 4th year. He said he wasn't going to the party because it was on a Sunday and he had classes on Monday. WTF? He's gotten responsible? I guess I should be proud! My g/f's son went out there with friends. They're in first year at U of T, so it's all new to them. Said it...

    Safety certificate in Aurora, ON

I've found automotive mechanic shops often have a mechanic with a motorcycle endorsement who can do safeties; even places that aren't known for working on bikes. Just call/ask around.

    Motorcycling trends: by the numbers

The whole thing is based on some guy's personal theories based on Google searches. I could just as easily theorize that a decrease in Google searches indicates that more people are out riding than sitting at home doing Google searches.

Thinking of replacing the Volt...looking for something more entertaining!

I bought a V6 Mustang last spring as I decided it was time for something 'impractical'. Back seat is a little cramped, and the car lacks the practicality I'm used to in my previous cars, but kids are grown and it really is a beautiful, fun car. We've had 2 adults in front and stuffed our 2...

Driving in Poor visability...wake up people !

Re: Driving in Poor visibility...wake up people ! Hey, you fixed your mistakes, now I have to delete my post!!! I've had automatic lights on my past couple of cars, but I still manually switch on the lights old-school all the time, but especially at dusk or during inclement weather. Better...

Driving in Poor visability...wake up people !

Some people just don't care about the viability of their visibility.

Dust seal replacement without fork removal

By definition a seal is a "device or substance that is used to join two things together so as to prevent them from coming apart or to prevent anything from passing between them." Once they're cut, they're no longer a seal. I've pulled the fork tubes from a bike and taken the tubes only into...

    BEST motorcycle show ever!

Its back for a second season? Didn't really hook me. It's ok, but it's more about the 'experiences' than about the bikes. Norman Reedus always looks like he should wash his hair!

    Cheese Thread

Mmmm cheese! I went on a Limburger kick a couple years ago, but it pi$$ed my family off so I stopped! Love me some blue cheese, very old cheddar, Parmigiana Reggiano, etc. Good cheese is expensive these days. I bought my son a pound of fine Asiago cheese as part of his birthday present last...

They'll have signage directing you to the lots. Otherwise bring your first-born child to pay for parking.

    Thieves in England...

That's actually a cool looking bike as ADV bikes go. And highly collectible. I'd ride it.

    What are you reading?

I recently started reading again after a hiatus of many years (blame the internet). Mostly reading non-fiction except I just started 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' over the weekend and can't put it down. Over the holidays I read: 'Blind Descent: The quest to Discover the Deepest Cave on...

20 years ago I had a 2 year old son (he turned 22 over the weekend so that's how I know!), a house that we were renovating ourselves, I was restoring a '72 Suzuki GT250 in the garage and riding a Suzuki GS1150EFE. Same job as now. Retire next year.

    Oil Change Necessary?

I agree with Nakkers - May not be necessary, but if you're questioning it, then do it. It's relatively inexpensive, quick & easy peace of mind.

Advice on the BEST motorcycle eyeglasses

I have 2 pairs of scrip glasses. One are regular Ray Bans w all-plastic frame. I find metal framed glasses always break from metal-fatigue due to repeatedly jamming them under a helmet. For nighttime I got a pair of Oakleys all-plastic frames and had yellow/amber lenses made - highly...

    Vegas in January/February

We were there last week and it was cold. And shockingly expensive. Had every intention of renting a bike for a day to go to Red Rock Canyon and ride the strip. Eagle rider had plenty of bikes available, but I imagine in warmer weather you may want to book in advance. We brought some gear and...
