lol. Damn so it is that bad. So what's up with all that hype for Icon Variant's? I got Icon for my M1 exit course, was looking for something cheap and at $150 inc. Tax it was a hard deal to beat.
Since then kind of got stuck with Icon stuff. I don't regret getting the helmets since there okay...
Side covers are $10/pack. Now it's not about the side covers, but if you look in the manual the side covers have to be "OFF" prior to putting the visor in. My visor dose not like to clip into place on the helmet, plus my Pivot has already broken as it's really cheap and crappy plastic that was...
Toronto has always been pretty pricey. Brampton especially the L6S postal codes have turned into mini-Toronto when it comes to insurance. I don't have to wonder why we got one of the worst drivers around and most insurance related frauds. People here love to claim their back hurts from someone...
Very true. Vortex, Qualifier, RS and so forth look highly similar with slight differences on where the vents are. A matte black Vortex is going for $152.99 + TAX & free shipping from Canada Moto... Good deal, I got my Alliance for $160 + tax ($200 something total)... But damn there visors are...
Yeh, just watched Revzilla review on it. They showed how fast & easy it is to swap visors and pointed out it has cutouts already inside the shell for communication system which is nice, as you don't have to cut things or have the parts put pressure on your face. Will look around if I can find a...
It's annoying to swap the visors + I had my visor pop out while riding, had to take the helmet off and then the covers and then stick the thing back on and then the cover... See there locking mechanism is pretty ****** to be honest.
That is a nice helmet. You can still buy Vortex from Canada Motorcycles and Revzilla, it doesn't look like it's discontinued. I had my eye on Bell RS-1 series for a while now, but somehow been with Icon since it's the first helmet I ever got... Eh... But it's pretty nice helmet for the buck. Now...
I own 2 icon helmets, one for my use and second for gf use. The thing I find to hate about Icon is the way you replace the visor, it is not quick and requires some fiddling around at times.
The helmets that I do own are Icon Alliance Dark and Icon Airframe Manic
Which helmet alternatives...
CB500F is a pretty good bike, I like naked bikes. But I swing more towards oldish looking naked, you know with 1 or 2 head lamps in front and standard non-digital cages, something like the Ducati Scrambler. Insurance wise I have no doubt it would be pretty cheap. Damn, when I asked for a quote...
