sux you Ontarians have to use an ear piece. Here the test is done using a vest with a speaker on it. Can hear the tester fine.
One tip. Put a couple lines of tape down the back/rear of helmet. Makes your head movements more noticeable.
during riding season i use Shell Silver (89) as it only has "up to 5%" ethanol. Over winter i use the Shell 91 to store the bike.
Do not know about the R3 manual but most manuals do not say ONLY use xx octane but say use xx octane as a minimum. So for the R3
it would be minimum 87 octane.
<sniff sniff> i smell a troll. OP joined May 2016. 2 posts. No sign of OP since thread start.
but in case i am wrong. There is a local store here that does custom made to measure work. Gear is as good as any name brand.

i had a 2015 CBR500R last year. Was ok in town and on normal highway. I found it too unstable on the mountain hwy out here. I am talking the Coquilhalla highway (aka hwy 5 "the coke" ... also featured in the tv series "highway Thru Hell")
The suspension was over worked and the bike felt...
Not semantics. there are differences. As per Australia NSW rules on this
What’s the difference between lane filtering and lane splitting?
Lane filtering is where a motorcycle rider moves past stationary or slow moving vehicles safely at a speed of 30km/h or less. Lane filtering is legal...
PS
i sure love the way insurance works out here compared to what i read you Ontarians have to deal with it.
Just as i was finishing up with the paperwork with the dealer, the ICBC broker shows up.
I get the insurance. Plate. sticker. right there. I opted to go for 1yr insurance. Total...
Arrived at dealer an hour early (0930) my bike was in the service dept almost finished with the prep.
stopped at UBC for a photo. really enjoying the bike. A bit cool today but at least it wasnt raining.
At one point during the ride. While we are stopped at a light a guy in a work van...
Back in February (26th) i posted i ordered a 2016 Honda NC750X DCT.
Friday April 15 2016 is NBD. I pick it on at 1030pst.
got this picture by text from the dealer today. My baby hatching from the crate :)
more pix on the day
lol. love how they always say "brand new" .. um no it is not. it is a used bike the second you drive it off the lot. Hmm buy his used bike for $6500 or
a real brand new one for $4199 (wont link it but local Kawasaki dealer has a 2015 Ninja 300 for that price) Even with dealer fees it would still...
more delusional sellers. A used 2015 FZ07 for $7800 FIRM. with some crappy mods. Wonder if he is including the gas he used in the price.

or you could buy a brand new one for $300 less

lol. WTF! you Ontarians have to pay $42 bux a year for a sticker? It is included when you buy insurance here in BC.
also i like our way better. You buy bike. If dealer has already prepped it and is ready to ride. They call an ICBC broker and in about 30min
they at the dealer. You buy insurance...
he has edited his ad to reflect a lower (tho still over priced) price.
"2013 cbr 250 R. Asking 4500 Obo. Has 2000.00 km only. Never dropped basically brand new."
it is not basically brand new. it is a 3 yr old used bike.
2014 Versys for only 7k .. not super over priced i guess but pretty close. I would love to hear his(her) definition of a drop tho. A tip over is a drop in my books.
"Never crashed or dropped, but it was tipped over in a parking lot"

i thought of keeping insurance on until i got new bike. But on the other hand did not want ICBC to keep any money if i had no bike. The Government gets too much money as it is.
I would have had to pay more anyway for new bike. No straight up transfer. The Majesty is in a lower insurance tier...
if you mean what i think you mean. My Majesty was insured until July 2016. Do not get the NC until hopefully April. So today i took my transfer papers
and insurance docs plus license plate to an ICBC insurance broker. They did the paper work to cancel insurance on the Majesty. I will get a...
yes. i can understand being wary of this new fangled DCT tech. But in the 2016 i read it is 2nd generation of the tech. So with that, any bugs would be worked out. Also the DCT has been out in the EU
for a while now and from the NC forums i have read there not many issues with it. Most love it...
