    GROM insurance

The bikes in that video are modified. As a guy who's recently ridden a mini, they really are for secondary highway at best. Taking them out on the 400/QEW series is absolute suicide.

    BC raises speed limits

The benefit will be marginal. I can make the trip driveway to driveway home/work at 120 in 45 minutes on off hours. I can make the same trip at 105 in 50 minutes - most of which in both scenarios is crawling up or down the Redhill. Is having each vehicle be on the road 5 minutes less (in...

    BC raises speed limits

I commute from Niagara to Hamilton and back daily, the outside lane is persistently 120Km/H or more all the way to Stoney Creek, where the traffic volume from Beamsville, Grimsby and Hamilton builds to a near standstill at the Burlington Skyway at 7:45am. The inside and middle lane from / to...

First time going to buffalo, need advice.

^^^ Exactly. The outlet malls is a better bet, Walden Galleria has higher end product. They never hassle me for less than $100 / person, just be honest. Buy Something - no booze or smokes - unless you want every nook and cranny probed on the return trip through the Canadian side.

First time going to buffalo, need advice.

The Rainbow (NF) bridge has generally the shortest wait times. Mondays after a long weekend can extend wait times. If you're into vintage bikes, you might try Northeast Vintage Cycle (old school Hondas - if you make it there I want to know if it's any good), the DQ/Orange Julius on Military...

    any mechanics here

Mustang GT 8.8 axles are splined, and held with clips in the pumpkin. Some in/out movement will be normal, I wouldn't sweat it, the clips are about 1/8" thick, the notch in the axle for the clip is about 1/4".

    30+ year old bike insurance

This one is 'built'. 9.6mm stroked crank, 5mm overbore = 108cc. The filthy big 24mm Keihin with accelerator pump doesn't do much for fuel economy either. It's a weapon.

The last time you changed your oil...

They come with a 1/2 liter of fresh oil when you buy them. Currently my 10 year old CTC B&S 4HP bagger is hanging together by a thread, float leaks badly so the 'oil' is actually more gas than oil. Such a pita to block the thing up to drain the oil. Next one will be electric.

    30+ year old bike insurance

She has her M1, been insured about 10 days and has a 20 year clean abstract. PL/PD ($1million), fire/theft/comp - no collision. Had to do something, fuel costs are spiraling. This bad boy will run about 50 miles at WOT on $3 of Shell 91. To be honest, I'll probably ride it more than she...

    Motorcycle certification

Well, I failed to find an automotive shop willing to do a safety on a motorcycle. However, my local dealer did step up and safety the bike for me, even managed to sneak me in between appointments.

    Motorcycle certification

My local dealer IS the dealer for my bike brand, I can see where working on older bikes could quickly turn into a ***** show, especially rubber components etc.

    Motorcycle certification

I have an appointment with a local bike dealer (who I dispise), they'll gladly do the certification, but won't touch the bike if it needs repairs. It's a shame whats' happening to our hobby.

    Motorcycle certification

It used to be at one time that a motorcycle could be certified by any licensed automotive shop. Is that no longer the case? I've had more than a few turn me away, even my local CTC - said something about incurring more cost than profit due to some requirement or other???

Doesn't look like there's an age maximum, in the eyes of the MTO. http://www.wheels.ca/news/tire-talk-how-old-is-too-old-for-tires/
