new tire age + canadas motorcycle??

I do service work in Michelin's logistics warehouse in Hamilton. Every single day there's a fellow there who sorts and cuts the sidewalls out of beautiful brand new, never seen the light of day temperature controlled environment Michelins. Michelin (and other reputable manufactures) mandates...

    Motor Swap Mechanic

Well said. I must admit, my favourite bike may not be to everyone's taste either. No 'modern' bike dealership will touch it either.

    Motor Swap Mechanic

I pulled the engine on my Interceptor 500 - in my living room and rebuilt the top end on the dining room table. Lift the bike off of the engine, don't attempt to pull the engine from the bike. One nightmare I could have avoided: Mark and locate exhaust on the rear side before dropping the...

    Annual gas price bitching thread

NG or Propane conversion is not going to burn up valves / engines. GM, Mazda, Nissan, Ford all build engines that are commonly used in automobiles and utilized in industrial applications as well. GM and Mazda I can speak to directly, there are no 'specialized' parts based on fuel system - an...

Where can new rider write m1 in niagara?

And she passed - unbelievably. The MTO requires that you right the G1 exam as well as the M1, something we were both unaware of. Who the hell cares about how many points a G1 driver can accumulate before having their license suspended when they've held their own license for 22 years? Or how...

    Motorcycle Superstore ".ca"

Just a quick nod to CafeRay in thanks for this post, I almost got pinched by Motorcycle Superstore - they had the helmet I wanted at a better price with 'free shipping'. I'm about to buy a HJC IS-2 open face from Canada's Motorcycle for $88 with free shipping after $69. GP bikes had a great...

Hazard: People with soccer flags on their cars

Hell yes. Well said. I don't care for the cheap plastic they use, I'd rather interior mount, maybe suction cups. Don't cry to me about reduced visibility, I've been driving the gta in cargo vans accident free for 14 years.

Rides around downtown Toronto area for 125 cc newbie rider

The Grom is a very capable 'small' bike. The suspension is typical small Honda, could really be improved with just a fork oil change. When you get your 'wings', their are bore kits available to dial up the fun.

    Carb/jetting help?

^^^ Rock solid advice right there. Also consider oil/fuel mixture when discussing 'lean' on a 2 stroke engine. More oil will reduce the amount of fuel in the fuel / air ratio.

Shipping from Hong Kong. Will not ship to themselves.

I recently rebuilt a Honda CA200 (90cc 4 speed) with parts mostly from Hong Kong or Taiwan (all NLA parts, found as NOS online). I must say, they really have shipping sorted out. I can order parts from 'over there' and get them faster than buying them from the States! Communication can be...

    Testing flasher relay

Correct. Add a resistor of equal value to the original bulbs in line at the stems, this will fool your 'winker' relay.
