2 years ago it was 15 deg C. I remember it very well because it was my first year riding offroad, and the only bike I had was my CB500X.

I have the Kappa 48l box and it looks really wide on a motorcycle, if you have side cases it won't look as bad. The 56l box is pretty much the same width. (there is a little more space in height) Wind resistance will increase either way.
It really all depends on what you are planning to do with...
Do you lower your tire pressure during the winter to increase traction? A lower pressure tire would have a bigger contact patch and generate a little more heat? Probably insignificant, but I have been thinking about this recently.

I am also looking at buying the same bike, but not as my only bike. I have looked into it and I do not think the 351 kit is available for the FI version yet.(I wouldn't get it anyways)
I am not so sure it is the right bike for you, unless you are done with the long distance riding thing. I am...
P6 parking lot has been packed full of truck these last few weekends.
It was great weather for my last Ganny ride of the season today. Loading up in the pitch black night with my headlamp seems to be common these days.
It's doable and can even be fun if you put on TKC80 tires. I ride through SCORRA single and doubletrack on my CB500X with those tires, obviously slower than my YZ250FX. I have done the Bethany small bike route on this bike also. If you are concerned about dropping the bike at all, I would not do...

But only do it if you know for sure that you actually enjoy track riding. Sell the 300 if you are not riding street anyways. Take a course and if you like it, buy a track bike.
Heating the body core is more important than most people think because they feel it on the finger and toes first.
Here is some info about it:
"Core Warmth
When your core (torso) is warm it readily releases blood to the extremities. When your core gets cold your body's natural defense is stop...
I've always wondered how much of a difference tires actually make, I do not have feel for these things yet.
For sure sand/paddle tires would make a huge difference, but the rest of it I have always chalked up as preference.
I would want for myself the best tires for traction and I would...
If that is a date for next year to ZX600, you better invite the others. We don't want jealousy issues to arise. If I am there you will surely have fun and be entertained. [emoji12]
