I wonder how much this issue affects motorcycle sales? Ive found that a lot of seats slant toward the tank (which is good if you are doing 150 kph all of the time) and I find that I get my pants sticking to the seat but my body sliding down toward the tank. This makes the "boys" very uncomfortable.
This even happens to very experienced riders, especially in the spring when they are "less experienced" due to the winter hold over. Lots of guys forgetting to put the kickstand down or not putting it down all the way etc.
I'd take the shifter pedal off before trying to bend it. You don't want...
One of the big question marks is the interest rate situation. Sure they are low for the next couple of years and that is why prices are high. We think we can afford the big price tag because the interest is low. And people are in debt to the max. The Governor of the Bank of Canada keeps warning...
I know a guy who bought a frame from the U.S., it was for an old Limey bike, maybe a Triumph. He went to the licensing office and explained that he found the frame in a dump with a bunch of other parts and he wanted to resore it. He told them he didn't want to put any money, time or energy into...
But you don't know how powerful it is until it is too late. And they may have "did it to themselves" because they were depressed or afraid of losing friends or hoping to get friends. Sad situation all round.
Don't know the solution, maybe make it legal and free of charge like in other countries...
Will it cost you to get the registration and bill of sale translated for the Ministry?
You may be able to write an afidavit stating the circumstances of the sale and that the bike was legally imported into Canada. You then go to a lawyer or Notary Public and swear that the info is true and he...
I didn't watch the video but i read all of the posts in the thread. It was interesting doing it that way. i take it that the person was relatively young and hit a deer and was quite traumatized and not thinking straight. i am sure the paramedics/police on this board could tell us some stories of...
I had a 1998 and it ran pretty hot. They are high performance so you have to expect that. A lot of people think the 1998 - 2001 were the best years because they introduced vtec in 2002. The main complaint about the vtec was that the extra valves would start to work at 6800 or 7000 rpm and the...
They have an article on these in March issue of Classic Bike. I got my copy at World's Biggest Book Store last week. Should be able to get it at chapter's. Might give you some inspiration to get it back together.
I just bought a 2006 Tiger. Its black with the plastic Triumph side bags. Rode around a bit yesterday and its pretty nice. The bars are a bit too high but that should be an easy fix. It has 14,000 kms on it.
Is there a place in the Toronto area that could do this type of work?
The 883 souped up would make more sense to me as I would expect it to vibrate less with the smaller pistons and be able to rev a bit higher.
Then of course one might as well buy the small engined Buell I guess?
I know that most people on here are sportbike riders but for those who are mechanically knowledgeable i have a question about Harleys. It seems that a lot of people have bought the 883 Sporty and wanted to improve the bikes performance so they got their 883 bored out to 1200 or bought new 1200...
The ethanol in gas issue seems to have motorcyclists pretty ticked. Everyone seems to thing it reduces the power of the engine. I would think the engine management system (computer) would change the amount of fuel injected in order to compensate for this but maybe not? It seems like cars can...
