I've worn a few helmets.... and the best so far is my Suomy for ventilation. Having said that, if you can't get it for a steal, then it's hardly worth it.
And completely off topic, always ride the limit through Chatham/Kent county. Seems the opp has bugger all to do around there... I've been tagged a few times in the past, once the officer was hiding on a bike right behind the 'welcome to chatham sign'!
I trust myself to work on my bike more implicitly than i trust some random mechanic who neither knows, or cares about, my bike or my life. Mechanics make mistakes too you know.
I agree with most here. Cruising speed is specific to each bike... I cruise around 6-7k because that's the midrange of my powerband. Having said that, at 7k in second gear I'm doing 130km/h so it's all relative to what you're riding.
And as was posted above, rev matching with a wet or dry...
Perhaps not the most constructive response but why not just learn to do it yourself? You've got nothing to lose and will save a heap of money. I highly doubt you'll have to adjust any valve shims at 8k so all you'll end up doing is changing spark plugs and oil. The only time I let someone touch...
You watch too much tv ^
Those people are scum. They don't deserve respect or admiration, they're human garbage. The biker gang wannabee's and leg humpers are just as sad.........
So who cares? They guy couldn't make the meet, life happens; at least he gave you notice so you weren't waiting around for nothing. You tell him to piss off you don't want his money? Dick move. Dumb thread.
"Reasonable price" in general or for our region? Two completely different answers. Bike prices around the GTA are way high, hold out for a deal.
Personally, I see absolutely nothing wrong with buying a bike that's been tracked. There could be things slightly wrong with a street ridden bike...
The polite 'v' is good enough. I've stopped waving to anyone unless:
a)they initiate
b)they're riding a sportbike (around here I don't see very many)
You could say that my etiquette is rude and dismissive but I don't care, I'm out to ride, not have a wavefest.
I actually purchased an integrated smoked taillight from them a couple of months ago with zero issues - shipping was hella fast, fitment was perfect, no problems.
The only thing I can answer with certainty is that if the bike has been branded by your insurance company, it cannot be put back on the road in Ontario. Period. If you buy it back, you'll either have to:
a) part it out
b) use it as a track bike
c) find a clean frame and ownership and transfer...
