Is this the beginning of the end for Harley?

At least they came up with a better name for it than their last small bike, the B Last.

What pickup truck do you use?

FWIW I installed a hitch on my Toyota Echo and pull a trailer. Without the trailer I get 50mpg. It's a 2000 with over 400K on the odometer and it still has the original battery, muffler, coolant and tranny fluid. The motor's never been apart.

Looking for people to do some dual sporting with.

The Thameford pit is likely the MX cousre on the north end of the S bend. Didn't know they trails. 10$ isn't too bad and I'd be up for that, but I was hoping some one might be able to stitch together unmaintained roads, snowmobile trails? and other trails with bits of gravel road. (making use...

Motorcycle rental in Mexico or Central America

Two questions: Pricing? Gear? Normally I'm an ATGATT guy but of course that flew out the window in Greece where it was just the pudding bowl lid, t shirt, shorts and the Chuck Conners.

Motorcycle rental in Mexico or Central America

Anyone done this? The Squeeze and I are pondering a trip south and I think it would be neat to rent a bike for a few days to explore different beaches and other sites. (We rented scooters in Greece and it opened up so much more for us to see and do...) I'm curious about road / traffic...

Pennsylvania road conditions in mid-late October.

Centralia is pretty neat. We stopped at the landfill and actually saw smoke coming out of the ground. Did you feel the ground in the cracks of abandoned route 61? We could feel the heat.

Looking for people to do some dual sporting with.

Ok people are keen to ride in the London area but I ask again does anyone know any trails or good riding areas? I don't. I just live in the area.

SweetOnion, Xenoride, You up for a London area ride? It's not too cold yet and I'm getting my tire back on this week. Who knows any trails out this way?

Tank bag vs. Backpack for commuting to work

Magnetic tank bag all the way. I have two piece my wife gave me over 10 years ago. I rarely zip on the second section but if I do there's enough room for a weekend plus trip (if not camping). As mentioned be careful where you lay it but I've used it on at least 4 or 5 different bikes and can't...

    It's true

1982 Aspencade. I removed over 250lbs of fairing, saddlebags, pizza box, light bars and misc chrome. Pipe, tank and side covers are stock. I added low rise bars. Mounted footpegs after removing floor boards & made up a shifter linkage to replace the heel/toe. Made up a fiberglass tail piece and...

    It's true

Got out to Sparta yesterday. Started my launch as soon as the third yellow lit up and never red lighted. I had a lot of trouble with the shift into second, oddly that shift was always flawless coming up the return road. So how fast does a stock wing run without all the baggage? For me it's...

Next Bike - Narrowed it down but would like opnions

250, Just curious why a Goldwing didn't end up on the list? I wanted to do longer trips with the squeeze so I bought an 86 wing. Like you I'm not a big guy (5'6" 145lbs) and also have a limited budget. The wing is no sports bike but it not the heavy pig I expected either. The boxer motor and...

    is it true???

I have a bit of oil seapage. Wiped off it takes a while before it actually drips. Is this a show stopper? Gear is no problem - I plan to take my full dead cow suit.

    Ultrasonic cavitation in the GTA?

I have used a small wire wheel cup in a power drill numerous times to clean combustion chambers and routinely clean carbon from valves with a bench grinder mounted wire wheel. The sky is still above my head and does not appear to be getting closer....

    78 gs750

Sadly electrics was not Suzy's strong suit. Running thinner gage wire was a savings that came back to haunt them. Still a classic UJM and a superbike contender when the term was just being coined

    is it true???

I assume there is a tech inspection. What should I expect? This isn't a plated street bike.

Getting The Most Out of Winter

I think you need a longer swing arm or smaller diameter tire. How do sprockets or chains improve the clearance? In any case I hope to being riding again this winter since I've found a spot just 20 minutes from home. It's spooky at first but the studs really hook up.

    Vintige bike and gear

Wrong. White helmets are a great safety play regardless of whatever else you're wearing. If you have a group of bikes behind you and one rider has a white lid, that helmet will stand out almost like in a separate headlight. And like Schneller said they help keep your head cooler on a sunny day...

    Vintige bike and gear

Sorry gotta disagree. I'd ride vintage because I like vintage bikes. New bikes are more expensive to buy, insure and fix. And they all look homogenized whether your tastes run sportbike, cruiser, touring etc. I could give a rat's but about "style" and ride ATGATT pretty much all the time.

Pennsylvia Over night ride - September 21st (28th as rain day?)

FWIW the Kinzua bridge collapse is a neat site. it was an engineering marvel when it was built. it's free and the skywalk is right next to the parking lot for those in riding boots & gear.
