    97' gsxr 750 swingarm play

There is a chance, but there is no way to gather enough information to be 100% sure through the internet. The simplest way to think of this is: you have a handling concern, and you have found a problem but you are not sure if it's the direct cause... Fix the problem you know about and then move...

    97' gsxr 750 swingarm play

There should be no side to side play in your swing arm bearings. While you have it apart make sure to replace linkage and shock bearings/bushings as applicable, since you are already that deep.

The FZ-10 has cruise control. The link to the page is above. On the features list and on the specifications list.

Yamaha FZ-10 Details released today, April 12.

Informally I have been told it's only 5 hp less than an R1S... Yamaha's engine division has been very conservative with numbers the last few years. The new Sidewinder is claimed at 180 hp, but it dyno'd at 204 plus.

Yamaha FZ-10 Details released today, April 12.

My opinion... no. That style of bike has been popular in interest, not so much in sales. Yamaha opted not to bring the SR400 to Canada and I think that was the right choice. It was too expensive for what you got versus the other options were in the same price category. I am not personally sure...

Yamaha FZ-10 Details released today, April 12.

Looks like a US initiative, I will ask around and see if we can honour the same thing or if there is an equivalent program here.

    Test Rides

Yup to both. It can be a challenge for sure. Our issue has always been trying to get everyone who wants a ride, a chance. Our route is not perfect, I wish it was longer and had some faster sections. But we are limited by geography and time.

    Test Rides

Not our (dealership) rules, not our bikes. I do support them though. I have yet to meet a rider with an M1 that I would be comfortable riding near, on a supersport. Given the amount of time to get an M2 (90 days at longest, from memory), I can't think of any excuse that would be valid for not at...

    Test Rides

The restriction will apply to the supersports and the 1000 cc sport bikes. Not the smaller ones. Generally you must have at least an M2.

    weather checked tires

The onus is entirely on the signing tech. If the shop wants to take the risk (if there is any) and the tech agrees it is safe by his/her judgement, then it's not your problem, it's theirs.

    weather checked tires

As always it will be up to the inspecting technician. The wording in the regulations: "Each tire shall be inspected for depth of tread, tread and sidewall defects, regrooving,..." then goes on to specify no visible cords... Weather checking is not specifically covered in the current iteration of...

    Darksider - conviction registered

For the sake of disclosure, I did not ride that exact bike previous to the customer installing a car tire and then immediately ride it again, so I can not honestly say that the car tire was guaranteed to be the only problem. However, I checked all the accessible components before and after the...

    Darksider - conviction registered

I guess that's the beauty of having in person experience and not relying on "reading about" something. I don't need you to believe me, you weren't there to experience it any more than you were present to experience all the positive experiences that have been cited. Despite me posting with my...

    Darksider - conviction registered

I have (unfortunately) ridden a bike with a car tire mounted on the rear. I didn't run that particular shop and I had to take a customer's bike on a test ride for some reason or other. I made it 1/3 of the way around the route and cut the ride short. If there was any change in the road angle the...

Starting to get the itch for a more modern bike. Suggestions for a modern naked?

Very different bikes... None are really bad, but they were all designed with a very different purpose. I have ridden all of these in question and my riding preferences bias will be obvious... FZ8/Fazer8/FZ1 - The 4 cylinder motors feel great on the highway, tons of power in any of them. All...

    2016 Demo ride days?

Don't want to hijack thread, but no word yet. We didn't/don't expect to hear until May what the colour options would be and the pricing. It is a 2017 model after all.

    2016 Demo ride days?

Heard yesterday we are expecting to see some changes to the bikes on the truck.. Gone: Stryker... Added: R1S and most likely an FZ10.. Assume they will have some licence requirements for those.

Can any auto shop do a bike safety?

Those specific links yes. We have been told, our changes are coming into effect at the same time, but they haven't released the motorcycle specific standards yet. More than 15 years ago... not sure of the exact date.
