Yes, we did. We held up the next ride so we could adjust it... even though the bike belongs to Yamaha Canada. Thank you for mentioning it to me, I'm glad we could make the ride better for everyone.
Think so? Guess you could have come said hello to me, since I was sitting outside for most of...
Harley's use DOT 5, for those above responses. Mixing the two can be catastrophic to clean up.
Completely disassemble the caliper, clean thoroughly with brake cleaner. At least 4 or 5 times, then reassemble with new seals. I don't think you would have any issues with the metals in the caliper...
Yes we can, and do. A safety inspection actually has nothing to do with the owner whatsoever. There is no requirement to have the bike's ownership present for a safety. We safety the bike itself and as such have to follow the same rules regardless of who actually owns the bike. Paperwork has to...
Yep, definitely not the best engineering. Starter clutch on that same bike, when your remove the rotor the first time a set of dowels and springs goes flying. They almost always end up in the oil pan. I have a collection of bent valves from customers doing that job wrong and mashing the rear...
I have asked about this. Yamaha is aware of it, it was explained to me as "something to do with the shape of the tank." I had the exact same problem/complaint. If you want a personal guess, it is probably a small nightmare to re-engineer the level sensor/gauge interaction for the one unit that...
Quoted from the schedule:
** Feature Models Include - R3 ABS, R6 ABS, FZ-09 ABS, FZ-10, SCR950 and many more!
Usually they also have the FJR, Super Tenere and a few others too.
Re: We know you ride, but do you Shoot?
T3X? On second look, might be a T3 lite? What are you using for ammo and how has it performed for you so far? The T3X is on my short-list of rifles I am looking at to replace my old hunting rifle.
Also hard to tell from pictures but 30-06?
It depends on what you are trying to mount and where you want it on the bike. The FZ07 has a few options: clamp around the bars, mounted to the handle bar clamp bolts, etc. The Yamaha option is about $72, and give a nice solid mount for most electronics. Most shops can source any or all of those...
Whatever the factory service manual says. Depends on the bike of course, but most of the common Yamahas do not have anything added to their engine mount bolts.
Correct, they announced the concept bike in November at Milan and were "aiming for a 2018 debut".
The show reps do not have any of the upcoming model information. We (some dealers) have been pestering them incessantly since they released the MT07 Tracer to bring in a North American version. I...
The second part of the post was referring to the rest of the discussion that happened after the OP's post. And that bike has separate turn signals, so not an issue. Sorry if my post/wording was confusing. I should have specified and/or been more clear.
OP, that setup is fine, as long as the plate is lit correctly.
There are many threads about whether or not integrated turn signals are legal/pass safety/safe etc. At the end of the day it will be up to the signing technician. I personally don't safety integrated turn signals, other techs do...
Good point about the marinas and such. Just keep in mind, their door rates tend to be much higher. I did my apprenticeship in the marine side, even then the marine shop rates were 25% higher. I haven't polled many of the guys recently, but I would not be surprised to find they were $125-140 or...
