Learned to ride on mopeds. They're a ton of fun. Putting my old Motobecane on the road again is one of those sort of back-burner "That would be nice" projects. I always figure if I get too old and weak to handle a motorbike, well, I'll just go back to mopeds!

I'm that old and was allergic to some nuts. But it was mild and went away as I grew older. I'd heard of lethal allergies, but no one I knew personally in school. That was something weird and very rare.

Is the weather okay for you between Vancouver and Calgary? If so, maybe ride over the mountains and ship it out from there? Might save you a bit. I sure wouldn't recommend riding a motorbike through mountains in snow though! I guess you could also go south again and get back through the US...
