    octane mixing?

Thank you for listening to what people have said. You don't know how many Ninja 250 riders put in 91 or 94 octane, thinking it will make them go teh fasterzzz!!!111

Cbr125 as a first track bike?

Fawaz owns Racer5. He has a CBR600RR for sale that is fully track prepped and ready to go. Call or e-mail him to find out more details. Ken (kneedragger88) is the own that prepped it, and he is suggesting you do the Racer5 Stage 1,2 & 3 days on the CBR 125s, and on the same weekend, see if you...

Cbr125 as a first track bike?

I saw that bike, it looked mint! See if you can sign up for Stage 4 with Fawaz too, if you get that bike.

    REDNECK racing at Grand Bend.

As a newb racer, who has just done Racer5, I can tell you that between Grand Bend and Cayuga, I liked GBM more. It was an awesome track that really flowed well. The "infield" after the start/finish line was a dream to ride through. I agree that there were some distractions, but nothing that...

    Replacing tires

If you're sticking with a bias ply tire (which the BT-45 is), and it's available in the stock 130 size, I would not use a 140. You lose a little flickability with no real gain in straight line stability. Think about it, you're adding 1 cm to the total width of the tire. That isn't much. I...

Cbr125 as a first track bike?

I did the Stage 1,2 & 3 at Racer5, and went back for 2 more Stage 3 days (Stage 3 = a SOAR race weekend. So I got to race 3 times this year!) It's a fantastic program that is pretty inexpensive. My first time, I was pretty nervous. I consider myself an okay street rider, but I'd never been to...

    Replacing tires

Definitely agree with this assessment, but Steve, you're likely using yours just for twisties. If he's like me, he has to commute on his bike as well. The BT-016s give you that extra wear resistance. Ultimate grip: go for the BT-003 Great grip with decent mileage: BT-016 If you really want to...

    Replacing tires

I've heard of the 090s, but some people on the Ninjette forums who had the 090s, prefer the 016s. *shrug* What do I know? Lol.

rubber brake lines how long do they last?

I upgraded my Ninja 250's lines to steel lines, and I've had people comment that my brakes feel better than their supersports. So, can't answer your question except to say that braided lines are usually a great, relatively cheap, upgrade.

    October 8 - 15 Deals Gap

Can't make it with you guys since I'll be busy with school at the time, but the chalet is awesome, and you couldn't ask for a better group of riding buddies. Don't miss out!

    Bridgestone Battlax BT-016 Tires - on a Ninja 250

I didn't update this review in a while, but I'll keep it brief. I kept riding on these tires, and they were amazing. Rode on them down to Deal's Gap via Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway. They stuck like glue, even with all of my gear loaded up in my saddlebags and tail bag. They were...

    Replacing tires

Bridgestone BT-016s. Here's my review on them: http://www.gtamotorcycle.com/vbforum/showthread.php?127238-Bridgestone-Battlax-BT-016-Tires-on-a-Ninja-250 And here's how I bought them...

    Brampton Powersports

So quit your bitchin and drive out to Whitby. The rest of us will wait patiently for Brampton Powersports to build itself up. Rome wasn't built in a day.

    Chicks need Goodyear Tires

I can confirm this. Whenever my gf drives to pick me up from the airport, I make sure she's on Goodyear tires.

Advanced Riding Course with Turn 2

I agree with you guys. I guess I didn't make my point clearly! What I was trying to say that it's easier/faster to learn on a smaller bike first. Also cheaper. It will definitely be different than a 600 ss. And agreed, you likely won't be at the limits of a 125 in 4 days.

Advanced Riding Course with Turn 2

If you want to learn the limits of your machine, take your bike. If you want to learn the limits of a 600 SS, rent theirs. If you want to learn the limits of yourself, take Racer5. That's my opinion. You could spend the same money, get 4 days of riding on a CBR125, and get race experience...

This might be my last ever Suzuki

Very unusual, IMO. Could be a side effect of the Japan earthquake?

    Brampton Powersports

Wow, they just opened, and already we have this hate? I'm really rooting for Brampton Powersports here. I need a bike shop in the west end. They don't support Kawasakis (yet at least), but heck, having a dealer only 10 mins away versus 40 is a blessing.

    what would you do..

Dude, you and your boss need to sit down and reevaluate your organization's structure. If the quality isn't there, and you're scrapping that much metal and time, it likely IS worth paying those good, experienced guys the big bucks. Put it this way: I'm an electrical engineer. House wiring is...

With all of the recent deaths...

I believe ABS should be standard on all bikes, with the ability to switch it off (it should be forced on when you restart the bike though). I don't agree with the sentiment that 600cc bikes should be allowed for beginners, and that traction control and other tech should be there to save people...
