Buy it now, or wait till next season?

There is another insurance drop at 30, which is a great time to pick up that 600cc. I would suggest either a used Ninja 250 or SV650. I'm on a Ninja 250, it's a great beginner bike, but honestly, the extra power of the 650 would've been nice. That said, you can likely pick either of these up...

    HP pad instead of Ipad

I really wanted one of these. Actually wanted two, since I wanted one for myself. But I was hoping to get one for a friend who has mobility issues. It would be fantastic for him. I was hoping to set it up for him so that he could use it in his room while he watched TV, to check sports scores...

08 Ninja 250R - Just changed oil, Vibrating sound after Engine Rev

I've never replaced my drain plug washer. If you use a torque wrench and the right setting, you really shouldn't need to replace it every oil change. Of course, it's good practice to do so, but not entirely necessary. If it's visibly deformed, replace it. I know which washer you're talking...

another new rider on a 600

You know, reading responses like JouJou and seeing how misinformed and patently wrong they are, make me sad. Sad that my knowledge and experience is wasted. This guy, who clearly doesn't understand (nor does he want to be corrected) how a 600 SS is much better than a 250 in almost all aspects...

08 Ninja 250R - Just changed oil, Vibrating sound after Engine Rev

How many clicks on the bike? What was the previous maintenance done by the previous owner? How long since the last oil change, since you say this is the first time you did it. When did you buy it?

Yamahas Demo Tour on Aug 13 - Hit or Miss? Hosted by Brampton PowerSports

Sometimes, I read things on the Internet that just make me shake my head.

    Amsoil 10w40 and K&N 401 oil filter

On a full tank of gas, the Ninja 250 goes for 300+ km. Seriously, just ride it out on a long ride and fill it up. Not worth the time and expense of draining it.

2009/2010 hyosung 250r vs ninja 250r? which one would you get?

I run a 150 on my Kawi, but only because it's the smallest size offered in the tire that I wanted, and others have recommended it. Don't fall into the stupid idea that a bigger rear tire looks cool; it doesn't. My tire is pinched on the rim, and it looks stupid compared to a 600 ss rear. Again...

    Amsoil 10w40 and K&N 401 oil filter

It'll come out of the fuel tap. But why drain it? Just run it through and use it, can't be that big of a deal.

    British Turbodish

I applaud this guy for what he did. If that's the law in GB, then it should be followed. You would never see traffic using the shoulder here on the 401. That said, those of you getting upset about right lane bandits, you realize that if done properly, they actually improve traffic flow? Using...

    new rider, first scare

I've called Road Watch a number of times. It does get the point across, and is a better way to vent out your frustrations.

Ok, I feel bad for the guy, but has he never heard of a sighting lap?

    Amsoil 10w40 and K&N 401 oil filter

On a Ninja 250, it is recommended to wait until 5,000 km before you switch away from the regular "dino" oil, or mineral oil. Kahuna sells this, and it's Kawasaki's M4 oil. I used this until 7.5k. However, this recommendation is purely based on hearsay, and I doubt you'll find any official...

    new rider, first scare

With only 4 days of riding experience, you need to evaluate your riding style and how you handled this situation. Cars will cut you off, no matter how much experience you have and/or what you do. It's a fact of riding in the GTA. I've ridden through Jane & Finch on my 250, and it's not anything...

    Earplugs, In-Ear Headphones or Other?

I love GTAM. I was just Googling about this, and I came on here and saw this thread. I'll check out the recommendations of those in here.

How long would it take for me to ride like Stoner?

First off, I love that you got your 636 number on your track bike and your SOAR number! Second, what an improvement in 4 days! I mean, your years of experience, especially stunting, have probably taught you to trust the bike and you likely have less fear, but still! And your body position and...

How long would it take for me to ride like Stoner?

I actually want to get an old 2-stroke race bike, just for the challenge and to avoid the electronic aids. Personally, it's all about what you're looking for out of the sport in general. Some of us will never see the track, and are perfectly content riding around on the street. You have your...

How long would it take for me to ride like Stoner?

LOL, agreed. I'm not being serious with my question, I know these guys are on a different level altogether. But it sure is fun to try to get there. The sheer technology, physics, engineering and talent that is displayed in that picture is absolutely awe-inspiring.

How long would it take for me to ride like Stoner?

I'm not a big fan of him, but you cannot deny that he and that Honda have been working extremely well together. Will I ever be able to do this?
