    Suzuki car owners.

OK, fair. Is the Kizashi's engine a Suzuki design, or is it the Ecotec? Not that that sets the tone for the entire car... and the Ecotec is a decent enough motor. Even before getting Daewoos pawned on them, I wouldn't have really pegged Suzuki as a very successful automaker. You rarely see...

    Suzuki car owners.

I'm still quite contentedly driving an 11-year-old Accord which runs fine. But yeah, if I were new car shopping, that is a smokin' deal. I thought the Kisashi was badge-engineered. It has the Ecotec right? I don't actually mind the 2008-on Malibu, have driven one and it's OK.

    Suzuki car owners.

Doesn't their line-up consist of... A rebadged Chev Malibu (the 'Kizachi')? An outdated SUV with a most generic Japanese name (Grand Vitara)? An outdated microcar with a chopped-off tail that looks fugly (the Suzuki SX-4)? A rebadged Nissan Frontier V6 (Equator)? No wonder they're...

A Good Day to Die Hard...

Wow, this is... terrible. One more reason to go see the show next St. Valentine's Day.

November riders...post your rides. Season's not over yet

Good on SeaBreez for doing a ride today. I saw only a few hardy riders out today on the 400 and 401. I just couldn't get the will to go out this weekend. The weather is picking up for later this week and this weekend, although the lows are pretty cold (below freezing even once it warms up.)...

    Protect your life!!

A will is just basic common sense. And if you doubt your partner's care for your well-being, you chose wrong and should make a change. The long-ended ranting in this thread must be a function of the freezing weather and someone's lack of riding. I hope this doesn't continue all winter. Let's...

    Frames anyone ?

Stuff's worth what people are willing to pay for it. And wreckers part bikes for a reason. I have seen some of the same bikes in those listings for the last two years. If they were hot, I'm sure someone would be onto the person by now. I agree that the prices are outrageous, but the same is...

The Official Ongoing Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread

The forecast got a bit worse - Enviro Canada's now calling for 3C, and the radio said rain and 5C. I don't think I'm going out anymore. Let's hope for a better weekend coming up.

    Soundbar vs Home Theatre

If it's just to watch TV and for movies to sound better, and you don't see spending more $$$ on audio, a sound bar is a good solution. They can sound nice and bring out the dialogue in TV shows. Yamaha sells an all-in-one package that is basically a lower-end receiver with less-expensive...

The Official Ongoing Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread

For sure Dave, and thanks. Even just with the weather and cold pavement, I don't think we'll be able to go too hard. There could be a few wet spots too. Let's call this a cancelled ride...

The Official Ongoing Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread

The weekend's looking up... at least in relative terms. High of 6C and sunny. Might go out on Saturday (later morning/early afternoon) to Forks, Hockley and back. Any interest?

    End OF Season Depression

Yep, I hear you. (To the OP, but repair bills stink too.) I got a new-to-me bike in mid-September. It was a good deal, and was exactly what I wanted and was looking for, but... the weather is stinking these days. I'm getting excited to go out on Saturday when there's a high of 6C... good...

    Mature sport bike rider group

Could be interested as well, depending on when/where the rides are. I still like to have some fun and push it a little in corners, but would rather not go to jail. I'm 29. I find that the K-W area rides are really good and pretty much in this spirit - everyone's friendly and no one's scraping...

Where did you ride today ???

Sorry, but I think that a scooter rider is a rock-throwing glass-house-liver here. MacDoc, if you rode to look cool and have everyone love you, I'm betting it wouldn't be on a Burgman. Otherwise you'd write fewer threads defending them all the time and telling everyone how great they are...

Where did you ride today ???

Had a good day of it... Waterloo to Caledon area, then WAY across over to the Kawartha Lakes, HWY 507, Rd 3 to Halliburton, HWY 118 to Gravenhurst, and back through Horseshoe Valley and Airport Roads with a good run of Terra Nova road thrown in...

Power to weight of a Ferrari

Repeat after me.... "Area under the curve". Also, I don't think brake hp is the live or die criteria for buyers of pissant little 250 bikes. The Honda and Kawi 250's ranked pretty evenly in testing, with the Honda being torquier and better around town and the Ninja being sportier and better on...

    Oct 20th weekend Penn ride??

All the good stuff is south of Coudersport, right? Crap, would suck to turn around right where it gets good. Oh well, there's lots of good riding in cottage country.

    Oct 20th weekend Penn ride??

Might try a day ride to Coudersport and back. My wife works a 12hr shift. It's ambitious but I'm tempted...

Power to weight of a Ferrari

Yeah... better keep that front end down! You might hit 180 if you tuck! People have realized the motorcycle's superior power/weight ratio for... ohh... about the last 40 years. Early '70s 2-stroke bikes were running 12s 1/4 miles then.

    suggestions for 600-1000cc sport tourer?

I recentlly went from a Bandit 600 to a 2000 VFR. I paid more than DemonPig, but got a bike with a few extras, and in a color I liked (a co-worker rides a red one). The Bandit was nice, and more upright and relaxed than the VFR, but the comfort is comparable. I certainly have no problem...
