I'm all for zippering, the reason it doesn't work is because people don't leave enough room between the car in front of them and block people who are trying to merge.

People in the west consume a lot of wasteful and even violent resources based on many ******** factors, such as preference, "history and traditions", lack of education, and even full on apathy towards the detriment to the environment.
