Just bought a i900 myself 2 days ago. They had it for $249 for 1-day only. I also read that it's pretty much plug'n play if you also purchase the connector kit for your manufacturer. Shipping was on the expensive side.

I bought my bike at the beginning of May. He paid off the lien on a Monday, and by Thursday the lien was updated. According to the clerk at the Service Ontario i went to, I was lucky it updated so fast.
Just get the UVIP again. if he did pay it, it should show the bike has no lien. That's what happened to me when I purchased my bike. Owner had a lien, payed it off, a couple of days later showed me the UVIP again and all was good.
It was good. Didnt get to ride the R6 cause of my M2 but got to try the FZ6R. Would've been able to try the Stryker and possibly a 3rd bike as well but I had that damn soccer game to get to. As for attendance, i'd guess about a 3rd of the size for Suzuki's demo day. Not too packed.
