My sv650s costs just over $550 for the year with full coverage but I'm a old guy 47 so that plays into it. Gas mileage isn't that bad depends on how you ride. I started on 500 then to the sv 8 years ago and love it. To each his own to choose what they ride.

My 05 sv650s came with full fairings great bike upgraded the shock added steel braided brake lines and she starts up every spring without a problem.
