    Cornholed on house insurance?

That's the goofy thing; no pool, no fireplace, garage is detached and its a fully detached house. Makes me want to open a weed dispensary in the shop lol.

    Cornholed on house insurance?

Just sharing the info - 32 year customer of the Personal insurance for auto and home. Recently went to cancel my renters insurance for a recent house purchase and they quoted me $4500 a year for just the house! With my discount even (over 5 grand if I was a new customer). I did escalate to...

    Testing waters for trade

Testing waters - thinking about trading a low mileage 2001 wing for an electra glide. This bike needs nothing, new tires (2000kms on them)< safetied in the fall, everything works as it should. 84000 kms, let me know what you've got! Need a full touring Harley, no soft bag road kings please

    Speeding ticket insurance surcharge

Too many variables - some insurance allow for a couple or three minors before a rate bump, some hit after one. How big was the ticket?

What did you do to your bike recently?

Got super lucky - my bike went for spring service before the outbreak, and I got new tires, oil change, and the knock sensor replaced. A week later they had to close, so I'm pretty thankful my season will be intact

    We had the talk.......

Ultimatums suck, and statistically you are exponentially more likely to see a divorce than you will a fatal bike crash. Every problem has gobs of solutions; own bike and use for recreational, country rides in prime conditions. Don't ride like a knob. Very palatable, considerate concessions to...

    Kijiji people are evil

Lol that's awesome. On a side note, I am selling a bike as well, and today was offered 2 kayaks, an old 90cc dirtbike and a magna.

    Kijiji people are evil

Well, the struggle was worth it. The one Valkyrie was owned by a nice dude, but honestly I don't think he even knew how to maintain a bike, so bullet dodged. Came home with a very clean GL1800 wing instead. Was looking at wings originally, just didn't fit very well on the 1500.

    Kijiji people are evil

Sigh, nothing new here but a mild rant of sellers - "bike is mint, but there is no maintenance done, tires are older than dirt, and I still want top dollar". Gone to see a bunch of bikes this week, and every one has the extra surprise that they hide after a few conversations prior to the visit...

    Where is the Media afterwards?

Writing in reply to Madmike in another fallen rider thread - there were remarks made pointing to the volume of left-turning vehicles in many of these motorcycle collisions. I don't disagree that more awareness for drivers has merit, but I do have to ask if the riding habits of motorcyclists...

    Considering getting a Different bike

Biased, but for your height and goals you listed, a KLR would do well for you. I'm 6'4; the KLR fits me very well, and really there is no comparable when you're considering purchase cost, maintenance and insurance, versatility, etc. I pay 500 a year for full coverage, tires routinely last for...

What is the most you would pay for insurance?

So my ex's hubby just got his course done, has an M2 and has purchased a new Honda rebel - quote was 500 bones a month. Kinda discouraging for the industry in general; I totally get the super high rates on the riskiest scenarios, but man. I wonder how the overall motorcycle business up here will...

Motorcyclist sought in collision that left young boy with life-threatening injuries

In addition, he would also likely get "fail to render assistance" and "fail to report a collision" , similar penalties in each Edit! Just saw the police statement

Do I really need an ABS ?

Lots of valid arguments as well as the science that supports the use of ABS, however there is also the little piece about why some people ride a motorcycle in the first place. For me, I'd say that I'll never seek out an ABS bike for the simple reason that I do enjoy the visceral experience in...

    Death and estates

To add to this discussion, what happens if the deceased have a mountain of debt, exceeding estate value? Is it possible to inherit debt? Sorry for the ask, never came across that before
