    Crankcase breather hose mod

I dont think you would need that, it might actually make the breather less efficient because when the pressure in the crankcase is high and its venting, its creating more vacuum at the filter end causing air to get sucked in. Im not sure though. I would just use either the filter or the hose to...

    Crankcase breather hose mod

You can vent the crankcase breather to the ground, the only reason it vents to your airbox is for EPA regs so that the oil gets sucked back into the combustion chamber to be burned, rather than dropping all over the ground. You can use the K&N breather filters just fine too, just make sure to...

    Insurance for older bikes

Almost every company that insures bikes will insure a bike regardless of the age. State farm (now Certas, try mike duffy for an agent, his office specialises in bikes), JR Duffy (Intact), Riders choice (Intact). I know TD and Dalton Timmis are not big fans of older bikes, theyll either just not...

Looking for a good mechanic around North York area

Rosey toes is the best, oil change is about 60 bucks last time i went. He takes cash only so bring cash with you, otherwise its a long walk to the 7-11 ATM. You'll also get a free gallon of chain lube (you'll know what i mean when you leave).

    1974 CB125 engine noise

The "tensioner" on your bike doesnt really apply tension. It basically lightly presses into the chain to extend its running path to take out the slack, more similar to a chain guide than a chain tensioner. The chain has not deformed from sitting for 40 years. Maybe 4000 years and youd start to...

    Thoughts on ABS?

Yeah, fair fair, but im not buying any of those bikes you listed. The ABS on the CBR250 is not good, it doesnt feel good to me. The non-abs version feels better near the edge of braking power, to me. Same goes for the rest of the small CC bikes I have tried with and without ABS. If I had 30k to...

    Thoughts on ABS?

I dont like ABS. I dont like it on cars and I really dont like it on bikes. Not because its not "pure", or I think non-ABS brakes better or anything like that. I just ****ing hate that vibrating feeling in the pedal, and i hate it even more in my hand. I can count the number of times I have...

There are just some bikers that need to get run over.

You can ride a motorcycle in those lanes on the dvp, you dont need 3 people on it.

    1974 CB125 engine noise

Chains dont just stretch from sitting, theyre made of metal. Its likely either the cam chain tensioner is worn out or more likely, seized up and not actually tensioning. You'd have to open the engine to have a look at whats going on. Either that or its a normal noise, its really hard to...

    Semi-synthetic for break in?

Yeah, I never understood why people would not... You have a book written by the people who built the machine, oh, **** it, ill just ignore them because I know better. Just follow whatever it says if you have a question. If you dont care, do what you want, but dont ask for the best advice...

Toronto should crack down on loud motorcycles: Editorial

Ehh to be fair, I dont think those "5 loud bikes" you heard in one night are what theyre talking about. I live above a major intersection, and every once in a while (Like, maybe once or twice a month, not once a day) some idiot with straight pipes and what I can only assume are 700 megaphones...

    Question about selling motorcycle

What dealer? For the first time ever this year I had a dealer tell me they couldnt take a check unless it was certified. If its the same one you can tell them to get ****ed and give you a certified check.

First 1000km service ... and a real shock

Yeah, I'll never go back to Ready Honda ever again. Bought a used bike from them this season, good price overall, but the guys working there are idiots. Sales lied to me and dicked around trying to upsell me into a brand new cbr1000 when they "Didnt have" what I originally wanted. Eventually he...

    .....

Next time, check a Lowes first. Their metric hardware section is massive. I replaced every single screw and bolt on my cb450 with hex heads from their metric aisle. Took about 45 minutes of wandering around with the parts fiche but it was only around 50 bucks. Grade 8 too.

Theres not much good locally in city of toronto proper. I order online from jgvapes for hardware, and either dashvapes for juice (richmond hill) or bombies from the US.

    Bicycle lane rules?

"oriental" lol. Anyway, if she pressed the button, made sure vehicles had stopped, and then started crossing, you are in the wrong. If she pressed the button and immediately walked into the road, her fault. I notice a lot of people tend to think of the crosswalk as a magic barrier, where as...

Where to get a rearstand for a CBR250 locally?

Canadian tire, really? I will check them out this weekend. I dont like snowcity because they were ***** about me ordering boots through them like 10 years ago. Ill also probably check out kapscomotors, my uncle is in pickering and we're supposed to go riding soon, so I can probably drop by at...

Where to get a rearstand for a CBR250 locally?

Is there anywhere local that sells a rear stand for a CBR250? I just got the bike a few weeks ago and really need to get the rear wheel off the ground to adjust the chain. I tried looking around but all the shops I used to go to have shutdown. I'm right downtown so preferably any shops between...
