Looking at maybe picking up an R6, spent the morning on the phone with brokers, looks like Wawanesa is the best option right now at ~1900 a year. Statefarm wants 2700 (2000 a year more than my R3...), intact wont touch it, TD wont touch it, riders choice wont touch it. Has anyone been able to...
This is a good attitude until your "savings" turn into a 5000 dollar pile of ash on the side of the road and you have no recourse. Id rather pay 100-150 to a motorcycle tow company so if anything happens to the bike at least im getting reimbursed. The peace of mind is worth 80 bucks.
Yeah you are right, your car insurance will not cover a bike that you are towing or hauling, same with an ATV or really anything else that they offer separate insurance for. You have to have the towed vehicle insured as well if you want coverage out of an accident. But you dont *need* insurance...
Oil pump and clutch bearing, nothing for the transmission. Clutch bearing will either be good or dead, they used one that cant take a lateral load so it will just randomly explode on you, not gradually fail.
I know, I had an R3... But I like my 125T and I want to get it back to showroom condition. I dont care how much it costs. I would do it myself but I have no where to work on it, my extra space is being taken up by another project already.
I think the 125T rides better than the R3 in some ways...
Timing, new points, carbs properly jetted and balanced. New chain, sprockets and tires as well. Maybe new piston rings and valves/seats. Left exhaust needs a weld at the joint. Also need some electrical work done because it doesnt have working signals at the moment and the lights are total...
Nah, no offense if youre buddies with them or something, but the guy who runs cyclewerx is a huge ****. When I first got this bike he told me I needed to leave it at his shop for 2 full months until he could get around to safetying it. Then I bought a battery from them and it took him three days...
So after my R3 got stolen, I'm looking to get my old 1980 CB125T back on the road. I did a bunch of work on it over the weekend but I'm just not going to have enough time to get this thing back to mint condition myself. Are there any good shops in toronto that specialize in vintage bikes, or...
yeah its underground parking. I know i shouldnt be surprised, but like i said, 10 years no incidents with anyone at all in the building. Either way, its my fault for being complacent, I should have known it could happen. Still keeping my eye out but it hasnt shown up in any tow yards yet so im...
All stock except the fender eliminator. Had 3460 KM on it, i just checked last night cus I was getting ready to do the 2nd oil change on it this weekend :/
Checked those 3 kijiji links, unfortunately dont think any of those are mine.
I'm pretty shocked someone actually stole my bike, I walked...
My bike was stolen last night sometime after 9pm, near dupont and lansdowne... If any of you guys see a 2015 red and white R3 go up for sale or any part outs of one, please let me know.
You will have to pay the tax on it if they open it. I just had 2 helmets come (had to exchange one), got hit with tax on one but not the other. 68 bucks on ~500 declared value.
... no. Motorcycle specific oils lack friction modifiers so your clutch doesnt slip. The reason you can run T6 is because its diesel oil and also lacks friction modifiers. If you dumped motomaster car oil into your bike, you will **** up your clutch.
The only place I found willing to bargain is snowcity. Every other place is pretty much told me to get ****ed. That was for new bikes. On used bikes theres more leeway since theyre making a few thousand off the sale anyway, but a new bike the margins are pretty much razor thin if theyre selling...
100% agree. I'm a huge honda fan, every single bike and car I've ever owned were hondas except for 2, but I bought an R3 last year and I dont regret the decision for a second. Honda needs to step it up it both their big and small CC bikes because theyre getting creamed right now. If honda made a...
Yeah hes a bit of an ******* but now theres no where at all in the city to get used parts. Probably never will be again. I'd rather it be open and have to deal with him rather than wait 2 weeks (or more) to get parts from ebay that I cant even inspect before I buy.
Go to TO Cycle Salvage instead? Unless thats closed now too, I havent been there in a couple years.
But yeah, like people said, you cant really have a salvage yard in the city, that lot alone is probably worth a couple million, you gotta sell a looooottt of old carbs and engine blocks to...
