If there is nothing connected to it, then its not drawing any power. I've had it set up this way on my bike for more then 2 years with no issues whatsoever, My battery has never run down because of it.

Im sure most bikes use H4 sized bulbs, I've yet to see another (if they are using regular bulbs) HID kits can vary a bit but I am quite positive they are all the same. Hell, my 1982 Honda has the same bulb as my 2008 M109R so im sure not much will change. Edit: I just realized im on GTAM, not...

Look up A&R for a nice HID kit, its so easy to install it shouldn't take you more then 15-30 minutes MAX.... Just remove headlight bucket, remove old bulb, put new bulb in, connect wires... there you now have HID! We are here to help you :)
