New Shooter - What Rifle to buy

If you are looking good for something fun to shoot than the mossberg is great. It's cheap fun. If your planning on using it to hunt a 10/22 is your better option. I have one of the older mossberg with the top rail. It feeds all 22lr ammo and is pretty accurate for a 300 dollar gun.

Careful out there....severe TStorms, hail and tornado warnings

Just drove thru it coming home from Buffalo. Lots of lightning, heavy rain and high winds. Many cars pulled over on the side of the QEW. A few bikers took shelter under an overpass.

    The Official Rub Thread

One of the ones I use is pretty close to that. I use 1/2 cup of paprika. 1 1/2 seems to be too much. I also use more garlic. Sometimes I will also let my ribs soke in Coke for a few hours before putting on the rub.

    LAPD Rampage Shooting...

LAPD have shot 3 innocent civilians today thinking they may have been the cop they are looking for. 2 were newspaper delivery people who drove up to the house of a high ranking officer this guy said he was going to kill. The house was being protected by LAPD. Not much else being released right...

    Hamilton done good!

I agree. The problem exists when there is poor management. When the sh$t hits the fan management blames the union. They are always the easy target. I have seen it time and time again. Lazy manager doesn't put in the work to get rid of a problematic employee. The dismisal gets grieved and the...

    Hamilton done good!

A rep for the union has already publicly stated they do not support such behaviour. They do have a legal obligation to represent the workers, but more from a stand point of ensuring due process was followed. This goes much higher than the average union member. There are supervisors and...

List of guns in the ban proposal USA

It doesn't have to be on the list. If she gets her way it will fall under the "detachable magazine and one military characteristic" Which means they can pick and choose. Very similar to the BS classifications made by the RCMP on certain firearms here in Canada. If it's black and not made of...

    Ian Thompson acquitted

You do not need a trigger or cable lock on a restricted if it is in a safe made for firearms. Only if they are in a cabinet, container, or room that is difficult to break into. There are some who would argue that the stack-on cabinets are not a safe. I would not take the chance if that is what...

Mother shoots home invader 6 times. He gets up and runs out of the house and drives away. She is not charged. How do you think this ends if she did not have a firearm? 911 was also called but when seconds count they are minutes away. http://youtu.be/dEpEoWLkKMc

    Ian Thompson acquitted

He did want and need emergency assistance. The only problem was it came too late. If I remember correctly it was something like 10-15 mins before they arrived. If he had just curled up in the fetal position and waited he would no longer have a home and he may not have survived.

Great result, but he never should have been charged to start with.

    Shooting in Connecticut

Sorry Mr. Teacher, I didn't know there was home work. Please explain how my comparison is pure stupidity? Is it because maybe you ride a sport bike and would be afected by such a ban/restriction? Tightening restrictions sounds just like my comparison. Only I used sport bikes. No real need for...

    Shooting in Connecticut

lol, thanks. I see you are like a lot of others. If you don't like something and it doesn't really affect you, your solution is to ban it. Sooner or later they will come for something you like and enjoy. What will you do then?

    Shooting in Connecticut

Maybe the government should ban all sport bikes. They look scary fast. No need for them as the speed limit is 100 kmh max. Cruisers can do that and they do not look big and scary. Or cool. Why would someone want to own something they think looks cool. Must be little penis syndrom. While their...

    Shooting in Connecticut

All things need to be considered. Even what the NRA bring to the table. It might not be the best way, but it is a possibility and thus it must be looked at objectively. You forgot drugs on your list. I'm not talking about the illegal kind either. There seems to be a pill for everything now. I...

Have you been to the stores in the states? Limited selection. Even at Walmart. You honestly believe that the corner store owner would drive to Mississagua to pick up a few 12 packs of a beer only one or 2 people buy? Maybe if the store itself is in Mississagua. Otherwise the answer is no. It...

The price of beer would increase and the selection would deminish. The smaller craft breweries would have a hard time staying in business. As for the empties, there is no way blue boxes would work. Unless you crushed the bottles. I would need 2 bins just for my empties, nevermind my cardboard...
