    Motorcycle jack

I also use one to keep my M50 off the ground in winter In my shed. It’s a tight fit and the jack allows me to maneuver the bike out of the way. It also saves space as it sits straight up on the jack.

Speed Camera fines now in effect

I received 4 photos when I received mine. My understanding is there are more. All 4 in various stages of going through the intersection also had a time stamp as well as vehicle speed.

Speed Camera fines now in effect

This is not true. They have red light cameras all through Hamilton. There is a tight time of when you will and will not get a ticket. Crossing when the light is yellow can still end in a ticket. I speak from experience. Speeding up to get through is not a good idea either. Especially if you are...

    2021 insurance renewals

You are correct. TD took over for LibertyMutual in Canada. I started with them 35 years ago. TD was ok as well for about 10 years. Then as you say, rated went up each year for no reason. So I went to Economical based off some posts on this forum. They were half the price of TD. Until this renewal.

    2021 insurance renewals

I am currently with economical. Was paying $890.00. new rate quoted is $1346.00. I’m 50 and drive a 2017 Suzuki M50. No accidents/tickets. Did some shopping and was able to get the same coverage with TD for $739.00. So I am switching. Funny thing is I used to have all my insurance (house...

    New TV

You do not need a 165 dollar android box. You can use a fire stick. Works well and if your lazy, you can use Alexa to search for content. Most IPTV providers have 4K content. I cant say if it is real, as I do not have a 4k tv. You can get some providers for 12.00 a month. Or cheaper if paying by...

    Sometime people suck

I’m only speaking to the lights at the intersection on Mohawk rd. right by the accident. There are a lot of elderly people who live in the area and frequent the Foodbasic. Most do not walk to the intersection to cross the road.

    Sometime people suck

The mother and son both used walkers and did not use the crosswalk at the intersection, about a half block away. They chose to leave the Foodbasic grocery store and cross a very busy road. This area has a history of accidents and near misses of pedestrians. The city even increased the amount of...

RCMP officer's gun stolen at mall

When it comes to carrying a restricted firearm they actually are. I’m in no way saying they have the same powers, but the Refs that allow them both to carry is the same.

RCMP officer's gun stolen at mall

I’m not making anything up, or doing anything to look like a “wheel” to be honest I don’t even know what that means. The legal excemtion is in the firearms act. Law enforcement and even armed guards can carry a restricted firearm as it is part of thier job. Once they punch out, they are subject...

RCMP officer's gun stolen at mall

It doesn’t apply while on the job, there is an excemtion. Same as a brinks guard. It does apply while off duty. This includes thier duty firearm.

RCMP officer's gun stolen at mall

From everything I’ve read there are no circumstances to when any law enforcement officer can carry thier duty firearm while not actually on duty. To do so would be breaking the law. Unless they have a CCW. If you have an example I’d like to see hear/see it.

RCMP officer's gun stolen at mall

RCMP cannot carry thier duty firearm while off duty, unless they have been granted a special permit (CCWj to do so. They are subject to the same rules as us ordinary folks who own restricted firearms while off duty. So this story has a lot of questions that have to be answered. Sadly we will not...

Quiet places to ride and build confidence

I never thought of it that way. :). It’s a great place to learn. I taught my oldest daughter to drive in a cemetery. Little to no traffic, slow speeds and lots of turns and stops.

Quiet places to ride and build confidence

Any of the bigger cemetery’s in Toronto would be good. Not busy, slow speeds and usually lots of turns. Good for building confidence in controlling the bike.

Red Hill Valley Parkway long term hazard

Your not not far off. The reported interim plan is to reduce the speed limit from its current 90 Km/h to 80 km/h with lots of police presence, until it’s resurfaced. Guess they are hoping to recoupe as much cash as possible to pay for the resurfacing. This may Prevent some of the accidents, but...

Anyone know a guy with a truck in Scarborough

Lowe’s, homedepot and Uhaul all rent pickups or vans for 20.00. You do not have to purchase anything from Lowe’s or homedepot. You only get about an hour and a half of time, otherwise you pay more.
