Not surprised that your bike took 3 mins to crank over...Carb float bowls were probably bone dry. Next time turn your petcock on prime before you start cranking.
Personally I'd wait until Street sweepers are out and clean up the debris that's accumulated. The rain that we've had certainly wasn't enough to wash most of it away.

About 4 yrs ago, I set up a monthly PAC, (SFPP) with State Farm. One time setup fee of $2.75 along with 1st months Insurance Installment payment. This was for stand alone motorcycle insurance. Hope this helps.
I have a digital "stick type" that I use. With the Gixxer, its just a little challenging to work around the front rotors and spokes. That one looks a lot more maneuverable with that hose thing built in.

It was all good. I quickly shut the bike off with the kill switch and reversed the plug leads. Bike was fine. Scared the crap outta me at first !!
