Do not hire someone to fight it. It's a $50 ticket. I don't know if you can get it lowered but if it takes more than 1 hour of your time then just pay it. An hour of my life is worth more than $55 :)

Ask the actual question you need answered. I would not give up my bike for anything to be honest. Unless I needed to sell it to keep my house or something along those lines. We just bought a house 3 years back and had a baby boy 8 month ago. Bike is still in the garage :)

I gave my Dad my old bike and there was no tax to be paid on a gift to a family member. My new bike I paid a bit of tax on but I only claimed what I paid for the bike not all the stuff I bought with it.
