Need a new laptop... have no idea

Looks good to me. Do them a favour and make sure it upgrades to Windows 11 before sending it out - they won't have to learn how it works twice. Intel i5 8500 should support it.

Q: Did watching racing on Sunday sell you a bike on Monday?

I mean, I just bought some Repsol synthetic for my 919. It was between that and Liqui-Moly. I could definitely feel the Honda association weighing on the scales

Where do you guys go for new tires?

You just wrote those words yourself. I think you owe Ted some gratitude

Where do you guys go for new tires?

You would have been willing to pay to split the cases on a ZR-7?

Q: Did watching racing on Sunday sell you a bike on Monday?

Nope. Even today I know less about motorcycle racing than I do auto racing, and that's still not like, a lot. I know who Jordan Szoke and Eddie Lawson are. I literally just had the thought "is Troy Bayliss a racer? Where did I hear that name?" and then scrolled up to confirm that Lightcycle just...

    Overbearing electronics

Keyless start is probably the thing I dislike the most. I don't even like it on cars, but on motorcycles... it's adding a Complicated Thing to save me five seconds max. It's going the wrong direction, I want the starting ritual to be longer like an airplane. I want to insert the key, turn the...

Kawasaki USA is bringing in the W230 for 2025

All this time I thought the MT-03 & R3 were both thumpers. I was curious about the 42hp, looked it up and learned that they are twins. Huh!

Kawasaki USA is bringing in the W230 for 2025

It is easy to cross shop with a new Enfield Bullet 350 at $5900 CAD MSRP. At least I don't think anybody is gonna argue against the Kawi being better built.

    Tire pressure gauges

My VF500F had those and you know... I liked them. It was better than having no adjustment. I used a compact bicycle pump. IIRC they would bleed down very, very slowly, like over weeks

Did I miss a scam or opportunity

I had a weird one a couple weeks ago. I was in the driveway looking under my car (the infamous ATS) trying to see if condensation from the A/C was draining or not, when a shiny new red Silverado pulls in. A guy steps out wearing a high-vis jacket. Worth noting - no writing or branding anywhere...

    $5600 USD? That's asking a lot

Yamaha releases an R9 teaser. October 9, 2024 is the announcement date

I am not at all convinced Yamaha cares enough if the R9 is/was class eligible for anything in order to sell it

Yamaha releases an R9 teaser. October 9, 2024 is the announcement date

I mean... that is what I'm expecting. I dunno why just slapping plastic on the MT-09 would take... TEN years? (four if you count from the last update)

They've been cooking this for so long it BETTER be good

    Dougie's latest plan

I found the GO train to be pretty reliable when I was commuting on it. More often than not if there were problems, they'd be on the way home. Which still sucked but at least it was off the clock

    Tipping

I hate tipping. I hate being part of transactions where the other party feels like they have to cavort & dance for my amusement just to get paid. I hate hearing the Customer Service Voice being used on me. I rarely eat at sit-down restaurants, but when I do it's usually 20% of the total after...

Time for a new ride... (ideas welcome!)

Funny, because I skimmed Kijiji for anything interesting for this thread and I didn't turn up anything good for Priller. BUT Somewhat rare red 1983 GS1100E. It has a Windjammer on it but seller says they still have the parts to revert it. Only $3000! I would be thinking about it if I didn't...

    Dougie's latest plan

I groaned when I saw this break. Ontario's first trillion dollar infrastructure project? Funny though, that it's a similar election ploy to Rob Ford's tunneled subway expansion. All it needs now is an assertion that it will be at zero cost to taxpayers because private partners will somehow pay...
