    Can't decide on a Ninja 300, or CBR500 as a beginner bike

I'm 210~ 6'3" and I had the gs500 you mentioned before you settled on the cbr500. It was a great bike to start on, did highway speeds easily and was comfortable, would recommend the 500. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Cop formation riding is a bit different.

Not at 70 kph on a major highway you don't. Don't care who you are, if you can't maintain flow of traffic gtfo. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

    Requirement for Indicators.

For signal/brake light, so long as it is equally bright it won't matter. For low beams/headlights it "by law" needs to be the oem halogen. Not that anyone listens to that tho... Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

    New to website

Gsxr will be cheaper in almost every aspect. Saying you can't decide between a cruiser or sportbike is a large variation. A lot of people can't decide between a sport bike and a naked bike and that's usually due to insurance. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Convince me that it's stupid to buy and insure a bike at this point in the season

Took the summer gloves into work at 6 am this morning... Regretted that, also regret not wearing my heated vest. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

    Continue......or pack it in?

OP.... I hope to be you when I'm 61. And I hope you do get up back on your bike. That being said, if you're looking to sell it I may be interested in buying it depending on the damage. Upgrade from on 09 600. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

    Requirement for Indicators.

You're 99% right. The section they quote for plug and play HID is "dazzling". Which is their word for excessive glare. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

    Requirement for Indicators.

The output that they producing can never replicate that of a halogen bulb. The halogen Bulb Has a 360-degree output, led, in 99% of cases only has chips on 2 sides. If they're rotated incorrectly, you get massive glare, "properly" and they still don't have width, which let's you see them...

    Best tires for for GSX-R600

Pr4's have done terrific on my 09 gsxr600. 100 km a day on the 401 since mid April and you can barely see the wear. Caught in a few downpours and still felt great whole way home. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Which is funny because led headlights are illegal and perform worse than their oem counterparts.

Convince me that it's stupid to buy and insure a bike at this point in the season

As far as you giving money to them, prorating doesn't matter. It only really comes into effect if you cancel your policy before the year is up and they determine how much money to give you back, if any at all. 5500 for a 2009 600cc is pretty good. I bought my 2009 GSXR 600 last year and it's...

Convince me that it's stupid to buy and insure a bike at this point in the season

Orrrrr ride to work? Op, if you have your M and can get insurance for around 1k, sure it'll be worth it. If you're one of those guys paying 3800 for insurance on a 636, then I'd wait. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

New rider, looking for your guess on my insurance quote, 400cc-600cc bike

Just forget any bike with an R in it and your insurance should be around 1500 with a 400/500. (Once you get your m2, don't even try with m1). That being side, I myself am 6'3" 210 and ride by 2009 gsxr 600 50 km each way to work April to October and never had any complaints about comfort. My...

New Rider beginning to get it and things I have noticed.

Got m2, bought gs500, was on highway on my way to work next day. Always felt comfortable on it. It's nothing personal to you, but every time I see people saying they need 30 hours of practice before they get out of a parking lot I think.....I'm not actually comfortable with you on the road...
