<shrugs> I like the kit that came on my R1's. Sparkplug tool, hex keys, screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, axle wrench, shock preload adjuster, etc. I cant think of anything they are missing for the type of work that you would be doing out on the road.

How long should a chain last? it depends.. what kind of bike? how are you riding it? Did you clean and then lube or just lube? I had friends that oiled their chain ever other ride and had their chains wear out far more quickly than mine because the oil attracted dirt and grit on to the chain...
