Couple of questions about track gearing

I have the EK 520 MVXZ with the zero stretch technology on my previous and current R1. Never had to adjust either of them. That said, I'm running the ERV3 on my track bike. The erv chain is lighter than the EK if that sort of thing matters to you.

Rattle can paint for race glass?

You should have just bought my R1. I have most of those parts already and would have sold it for less than 8k :P But at the same time, building up a bike over the winter is fun too (Im going through the same thing with my track bike right now.)

    What rifle should I buy?

Interesting - all the reviews I have read have been generally positive. Can you point me to some of the negative reviews?

BAD REVIEW "Rosey Toes Motorcycles Inc"

Unfortunately, I don't judge tires by their aesthetics :) Id go with Caboose's recommendations. Unless you are planning on tracking your bike, you are probably best served by a sport touring tire rather than a "higher end" hypersport tire.

BAD REVIEW "Rosey Toes Motorcycles Inc"

As noted already, the only way to be sure is to check the date code. In any event, your front tire appears to be a dunlop 207, which means in the best case scenario it is a 9 year old tire if memory serves me correct on when this model was discontinued. Regardless of the tread remaining on...

    Need chain installed

Yes of course changing the chain and the sprockets at the same time is a best practice. However, with that little mileage on it, there is going to be no appreciable risk of prematurely wearing anything out. That chain is is rated for motorcycle's far more powerful than the OP's application and...

    Need chain installed

Maybe because they needed to change their gearing with a larger rear sprocket and the chain no longer fit. Since the chain was only used for less than 1000 km, it represented good value to someone else.....

    Intalling Rearsets

I learned this lesson the hard way. On my first track day, I lost my left side peg at shanny and had to ride back to the pits with my foot on the bolt. I used loctite but I guess I had skimped out on either torque or the locitite. Since that day, all critical fasteners on my bike gets either...

Power to weight of a Ferrari

The reason for my question was to find out what actual owners of 250 ninja's are getting at the drag strip. According to the road tests I have seen posted online, a 250 ninja gets anywhere from high 14's to mid 15's in the 1/4 mile, which means it is quite a bit slower than any v6-equipped...
