Played with the track bike for the first time since Jennings GP in February. Did an oil change, mounted a steering damper and swapped out the stock tokico calipers for a set of Nissin calipers from a newer ZX14. Need to rewire the brake hardware, but otherwise I am ready for TMP on the 18th.
I did the tough mudder, spartan sprint and spartan beast last year and will be doing them again this summer along with the new o-course crucible (and some non-obstacle races like the 5 peaks trail series). I dont find a lot of ego at these events and they are a lot of fun imo.

In my experience, chain tools are one of those things where it doesnt pay to cheap out.
Ive been lurking on this thread and listened to the advice too. I bought a EU1000 for $700 all in last week. I figure going with a cheap genny was false economy. Id rather pay a bit more upfront and not deal with the hassles of noise and the possibility of it dying prematurely on me when I...
This is what I do. Ive been to barberians, harbour sixty, mortons, ruths etc etc and I will put up the steak that I made at home against any one of them:
My best vacation was hawaii. One week in maui and the other in kauai. I spent each day either hiking, surfing, snorkeling or scuba diving. This is how I would choose to spend the rest of my life.
Actually its about half a lb difference between the erv3 and the EK chain (3.4 vs 3.7 lbs per 100 links), assuming 120 link. In no way am I saying anyone here would notice the difference, but if you are changing the chain anyways on a race bike, might as well go for the lightest one. It all...
