motorcycle rental business-is getting insurance going to be a major pita?

I'd guess Mackie Harley Davidson's insurance is unique because they're part of a large corporate group that's mostly involved in truck transportation. Their ability to negotiate with insurers to cover their motorcycle rental business would be unmatched.

    Glove maintenance

Yes, I fill up a bathroom sink, add a bit of Woolite (maybe something like 1/5 of a capful), and wear the gloves and dip and wash like I'm washing my hands. If the gloves are dark, you probably want to wear rubber gloves because dye will come off. The gloves I wash this way are a tan/natural...

Toronto Moto Social Wed May 2nd

The people behind the Moto Social look for hip(ster), local independent businesses to centre the meet. Suburban spaciousness doesn't fit with their aesthetic.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Designing cars to improve aerodynamics is not a grand technical achievement. Cars in the 90s were trending towards optimal aerodynamics, with more models moving towards the ideal teardrop shape. But this also meant cars were losing distinctive looks for their brands/identities. The hard part...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Very easy to implement workarounds are readily available from a number of companies (e.g., Flo/AddEnergie, Chargepoint). They sell the charger that's connected to their network and collect the fees (often a flat rate). It gets charged by time, like a parking fee, not electricity consumed...

Such a common human trait. When friends of mine (from here) were living in Singapore, they laughed at the constant griping of Singaporeans about their high taxes. The highest income tax rate? 22% on income above (approx) $300000 CDN.

If you look at the prices for 1 or 2 year old used Volts, they're being priced pretty close to what a new one with the provincial incentive would cost out the door. One or two on this thread bought new and could chime in with their experience.

There can't be anyone around here who's more knowledgeable about buying a used Volt than PrivatePilot, and he did investigate the buying in the US option. Where are you PP?

And what's the likelihood that the ON $14000 incentive will still be around in 2019, when the base Tesla 3 will be available for Canadian orders? :sad1:

The EV has to be registered and plated, its rebate approved, and then the EVSE rebates will be processed and (hopefully) approved. So, yes, a reservation won't be proof enough for the MTO and Min. of Finance. And, will these rebates will survive a possible change of government in 3 months?
